Abandoned Go Cart Track=FUN

I remembered there was this OLD abandoned go cart track way out in the country where I used to live in Oakdale(central valley). So I was bored and decided to go out there and check it out.I was dreaming of there MAY be a way to get my car on it.So I went out there and the track didn't look all that bad ,but there were alot of post preventing cars from coming on the track .BUT there were two post that were pretty wide and just for Shits and giggle I lined my car up to see if I could fit ,and SOB It would be a tight squeeze but all worth it to try .So I got out and folded my mirrors in and pushed my car threw.It felt like i just broke into a bank ,when I finally got threw.And as old/run down as it was it was pretty smooth.

So I went back with my friend ,and got some pictures,And alot of track time lol,So here they are.

Our cars are big go carts right ?

It was a tight squeeze but they made it so miatas could fit :wink:

There was also a dirt track,i mean rally Course

I posted it up on a local forum and people already want to go out there and have a mini track day lol .Only miatas .....or any car with the same width .lol

The old 75-80 Dragway in Monrovia, MD had a kart track. I wonder if there's a housing development plopped over where it was yet.

Edit: turns out the kart track was owned by a different company, and the guy who owned 75-80 got pwnt by the housing collapse and a county moratorium on development citing traffic concerns. So he wasn't able to turn 75-80 into a suburb... and it's being refurbished to reopen this spring. HELLS YES.

IIRC, Flyin' Miata uses a kart track for their open house every year. It's a much bigger course than that, though.
