If you don't trailer your car to a circuit race course then please don't post it here. This thread should be for hardcore time-attack or SCCA ITA type cars that are fully built for speed with no concessions for street use. If you've done HPDE or auto-x or drifting and have a picture of your car that's wonderful. Feel free to post it in the other thread Sweet Autox/drifting or racing pics (of yourself).

Crap video. Gopro HD mounted on one of my air cleaners. Apparently it doesnt like the vibration.
Major ignition issues. They have now been sorted, but as of right now I dont have access to the camera anymore. Power is ~65%. top speed was around 95 (according to the elise S1 190 sport following me) I basically had no engine above 4500rpm. Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) MN. 69 Formula vee, 1600cc, dual carbs, disc brakes. |

From our Enduro yesterday. 2nd of 9 cars in E3. 12th overall out of I think, 37 cars that started. Fastest Miata race lap. That's William driving in the first stint. I drove the 2nd stint, mostly at night. Pretty stock car in PTE trim but still just a tick faster than a Spec Miata.

Brainerd International Raceway, 1969 Formula Vee
Once again, not in the miata.. I was having issues with the car that are mostly sorted by now. I had 2 cracked pushrod tubes that were pouring oil on one of my headers, and my shifter popped out a few times due to it being slightly out of adjustment, and a brake pedal that is all too soft. Certainly not my best driving, but it is what it is. Yes, that is a stock, rental HHR Im following. Piloted by one of the fastest people I know. Hes an instructor at the school, he was showing a student the track. There are limited passing zones on school days, thats why I had to go a full lap to achieve a pass, i only left that in there to show what a capable driver can do in a less then capable car. I wasnt giving it my all (as you can hear in the throttle) but he was without a doubt quick. |
