Spamming in the Welcome section

It has come to my attention that there has been a bit of spamming going around in the Welcome sections.

I'm not sure if this is intentional or unintentional, but I've been seeing a lot of new members with multiple posts in the meet and greet sections.

Like I said, I'm not sure what some of your intentions are ;however, this is no way to raise your post count.

The 30 minimal post count to gain access to the For sale section is there to prevent illegitimate
members from posting there.

The way to prove your self to the community is to post in a contributory manner. Not by welcoming other new members to the site multiple times, when you have yet to prove your self as a valuable member.

*This problem does not apply to proven members (you know who you are) who post in the welcome threads.*

Just a reminder,

14. CLASSIFIED ACCESS REQUIREMENTS, users must be registered users with a minimum of 30 valid posts. Spamming to get classified access is not permitted and may result in posts being deleted and bans being given.

post count doesn't increase in the pub...
going one step further, the newbie section could be handled this way also, but that's not exactly fair to the people who join the site without shitty intentions.

in a situation where someone does indeed spam the newbie section just to raise the post count, reporting all of those posts would take forever, but i guess reporting one of them and explaining it in the report would work, eh?

btw, i've been "spamming" the newbie section lately.

Why not just set the Meet and Greet forum to not affect members post count? That way, spamming would most likely be reduced because post counts wouldn't rise.

Consider making the classifieds section totally private so that members with less than 30 cant see it at all. I feel like a lot of these people see something they want and spam-rampage to be able to get it. If it becomes a pleasant surprise after you accumulate the required posts, maybe we will have less spam.
