yeah the m2-1006 is wicked, I also like the m2-1005/1023, my friend had a 323 like that, I thought it was bad ass, it wasn't souped up or anything, was just a daily that was manual, I wish I could of bought it from em. the m2-1011 cosmo is pretty pimp too

The Mazda M2 1020 was built as a trial manufacturing exercise in Japan. It was expected to be sold in 1995 after the third win in the Australian Bathurst Production 12 hour championship race. This was to be the full Mazda Japan backed version that was already on sale in Australia as the SP. It incorporated all the enhancements of the oz model with an addition of a central stay to re-enforce the rear spoiler.

Only two were built in Japan, however it is known that the body panels were on sale for a while in Kanagawa at a dealer near the Maxda R&D Facilty without approval and there is talk of only 1 set being sold in Japan. But there are a few cars wearing this kit including the
There are 35 SP versions that wear the same body kit in Australia. And a few spares have known to become available in private hands also. Katayama Racing in Japan has a set as Katayama san probably got it from Mazda when he used to race in the 767B.

Originals were carbon fibre, not FRP so they were incredibly expensive. Bonnet was vented aluminium. This was a shame that the project was cancelled as it also ended the SPII's future in Australia. Now that was an awesome machine.
