Just wondering if I'm the only SP owner here?
For those that haven't heard about it before, the SP was built in 2001/2 by Mazda Motorsport (Mazda's competition workshop in Aus) from production NB8B's. The cars were fitted with a Garrett turbo on a cast manifold and dump pipe, a large intercooler and a sexy carbon fibre airbox, plus a modified ECU. Quoted power was 156KW at the flywheel, making the MX-5 a very tasty machine indeed! Only 100 were built, ad all were sold via the dealer network with full factory warranty. Below are some pics of mine:

I've heard of these cars but have never seen one, thats for posting your up! IIRC that kit was developed by AVO.

So what does 146kW mean in HP?
Yes, the manifold and dump pipe are AVO developed, the rest was engineered by Alan Horsley at Mazda Motorsport, and Chiptorque helped with the ECU mods. My brother has an SP as well, his has been further developed with ECU changes and variable boost control and has clocked 198Kw (265bhp) at the back wheels at 14psi boost (stock is 8.5psi) but he has settled on a limit of 12psi for daily use. BTW my car has 150000km up already (93,000miles) and has been absolutely trouble free apart from manifold nuts coming loose - it is the most reliable car I've ever had! :)
