Hi All,
Long term member of some other MX-5 forums - I've been lurking here for a few months. Thought you might like to see pictures of my trusty steed.
It's actually my 4th MX-5; I was quite content with my standard G-limited but spotted the cream M2 interior on a mis-listed roadster on Autotrader about 6 months ago - it's in great condition and with a proven 45k miles on the clock I couldn't resist.
There were only 40 Tokyo Limiteds made and only 20 of those were manuals so this is a pretty rare model. It's a 1.8 s-package in to which Mazda transplated the interiors from M2-1002s which didn't sell and then sold them only through their Tokyo dealerships. For me it's the ultimate roadster and personally I prefer it to M2s as it's a 1.8 (with associated uprated brakes etc. ) and it's black (best colour ).
I'm planning on changing the el-cheapo laguna splitter (£6!) for an OEM one at some point.
Hope you enjoy the pics!
Jamie.
The original cream mats are hard to keep clean, so have aquired some blue stripey "Roadster" mats - they go well with the blue alcantara dash covering.
On the Isle of Wight the other weekend, I came back to my car and found some cheeky bugger had parked an old banger next to it!
