I know this isn't technically a "special edition" but the R Package definitely sets the miata apart from the other packages.

I picked mine up in December for $6200 with 78k on the clock and a hardtop. This is my second miata and I'm only 17

only picture I have at the moment

Post yours up!

huh.. so you picked that one up from the mazda dealer.. big discussion about it on miata.net...

just never change your shocks out.. then all you have is an A package with a non power steering rack...
Not really. While the Bilsteins on R-pkg and 93 LEs are exclusive to those two models and nothing else, the spring rates on the R-pkg are slightly different than standard 94-97 springs. Their free length is the same as 90-93 springs, but the rates are increased by roughly .25 kg/mm. The sway bars are also different too. They're slightly thicker than standard 94-97 bars..but the rear is the same as some NB model, iirc.

Where's Jimmy Dean when ya need him? lol

Yeah I'll admit it was a lot of cash but I played with my options. I didn't want anything FWD after testing a GS-R and not being very impressed. My car is pretty low mileage for the year and has some options on it that will keep me from modding it until I have a good amount of cash. Having a job at sbux doesn't hurt either.

shoot, y'all forgot the front lip, rear lip, rear spoiler, hollow spoke wheels etc.. and btw, i can't find anything about the front springs being different than stock; just the rear..

although, i'm pretty sure the R doesn't have the leather wheel either.. nor the speakers in the headrests. although it does have the rear subframe bracing which was left out of the base cars. atleast so it seems.

and if you want to be skeptical, you could say that the R package came with a better built motor than the rest...... :p

anyways, it's a nice car. i'll keep an eye out for the post about it on .net..

btw, no i don't fail.. the only thing that fails is someone that buys an R package to have an R package, and then begins to basically mod the car out of an R package. half of the R packages out there have upgraded sway bars, new springs, new shocks (unless they were smart enough to just get them rebuilt and revalved)....

as for the endlinks to compensate for bump steer, they are $50 per side at rosenthal and should be an addition to ANYONE who lowers there car, R package or not... they're on my list.

You also forgot the LSD....The car was everything I read it as. I never saw the ebay ad before also. The car has headrest speakers that the previous owner put in and it has the original beilsteins all four corners.

I paid 6200 out the door with tags and registration.

Just waiting for the season to start back up...I did 4 auto x's last season with Capitol Driving Club in my old NA, started late in the season.

The reason I am glad to have a somewhat modified suspension

Just picked up a set of Falken 615's yesterday for the new beast :]

Mmm.. still have a bit of an R-package fetish, but not like I used to.

This was my rare bird; white '95 R-package with A/C.

Owned the car for ~1.5 years. Bought it with less than 80k on it (lowest mileage car I've ever owned actually!) I loaned the car to my (ex)girlfriend for 1 DAY while I replaced the fuel pumps on her Jetta. She pulled out from her place of employment, and looped it in front of a city bus.

Now the drivetrain, interior, and other misc. bits reside in my '91.
