For Roadster buffs, this seems to be a bit of a find:

A bit odd; the wheels are oddly familiar (I think these were in the 1991 Roadster Options catalog). The wheels look dirty, wrecked. This car has a hatchback, so unlike both the factory coupe and the MNAO M-Coupe, both of which used a conventional bootlid. The door is a standard NA door. The car is LHD, with no side winkers. This car has a rubber non-airbag wheel and manual window cranks. It appears to be a North American Miata. Maybe its a fan conversion; but then, those wheels look beat up, but the paint looks fairly good. The mirrors are missing. In the background, there is the original mule prototype,so this looks like an official Mazda exhibition; I have no idea where, except that its in Japan, and the photo was taken in 2010.
To the back; yep a full hatch. The glass is from a Eunos presso/ MX3. The hatch isn't quite straight. No fuel filler or aerial is present; doesn't seem to have been intended for practicality. The high tail is reminiscent of the M-Coupe.
Roadster front bumper fitted. One of the wiper blades is missing. More beat up wheels, but now stock Daisys. For some reason, the reflectors aren't fitted. Again, no mirror, and no attempt to plug the holes. This isn't a show car. Small 3rd hold indicates this is a 89-93 car.
More of the same; exhibition features pictures of M2-Inc cars.
The body does look very straight.
Japan=spec Vspec in the background, but this one has a non standard Nardi wheel fitted (polished spokes).
Inside; mould on sunvisors, this car has been standing a while. Carpet is cut crudely, and the hatch hinge looks makeshift, not pretty.
More mould present, cut metal to get into the trunk are, "Panasonic pro" battery.
Interior
Ah, a low miles Canadian car
Different sides
FRP Roof (see join)
No chassis number!
Modelling clay?
This apparently says this car was the prototype for both the NB Coupe and NC PRHT. Umm, yeah.
I think this was a Mazda design study. It predates the Mcoupe, which used a 1996 car. This is an older car.
Its not a NA coupe built using NB coupe parts; the rear end is completely different, different boot lid, different glass
There are not many pictures about of the M2-1008, M2-Inc's Roadster Coupe:
The pictured M2-1008 is different; Kamm tail, revised front, and, most importantly, rhd.
This early rendition of the M-coupe is also different:

gives a bit more detail. The exhibition was at Mazda R&D, laid on for some visiting enthusiasts. It seemed that the 1008 and the original blue M-Coupe were produced more or less simultaneously in 1993. In response to the M-Coupe, the F010 was commissioned by "Hukuda Shigenori" (Shigenori Fukuda?). Ever since then, it has languished unseen in a Yokohama warehouse.
A lift back coupe? Thats now the NB coupe should have been.
