the day after i got it, drove it a few times then snow. sitting patiently for spring now.
73k miles, unknown coilovers( look like older v-max), sways, brainstorm low pro headlights, put my silverstone hardtop and wheels on it. piecing together a turbo setup now.
Don't have any pictures handy but I fall into this group as well. 198k miles, pretty solid. Nothing is perfect, but nothing is in need of emergency replacement (anymore). I have no clearcoat on any surface that faces upward.
I have one. Mine looks like crap though, past owner didn't give it a fair treatment. Seriously needs a new paint job. I'll post pictures as soon as I get some of the car.
I just picked one up. It is my third Miata. Sold other two due to military moves. Im keeping this one though. Needs some work to bring back its luster but a great ride for now.
Getting rid of most of the M-badged stuff soon anyway. Carpets, gauges, seats will all be gone. Only thing I think I'm going to keep is the sill plates and the outer badging. Not because I don't like it, but because I'm looking to make it my own.
'96 M's were blessed with both the best color ever put on an NA and the best looking stock wheels in those 5 spoke Enkei's. STO's had then too the following year.

Here's my SUPER MINT '96 M-Ed w/ 147K that I swear one wouldn't think was more'n 1-2 years old and w/ a LOT less miles... the POs must have taken amazing care of it... the initerior literally looked like it had jes rolled off the lot...
It was the favorite of the 10+ models I was fortunate to acquire and enjoy before passing on to other Miata aficionados...
Unfortunately it came to an ignominious end... to wit:
.
Never understood why folks think these cars need anything done to the suspension UNLESS they're competing in a class that allows mods and can't make up the difference of ones competitors with their superior driving depending of course on the type of competition one is indulging in...
All my Miata track'rs have been box stock except when I went thru a spell of trying out DIY mods based on how we did it 'back in the day'. i.e. cut down springs... went back to stock...
Even so, at a typical HPDE event I get a couple entrants coming by wanting to know what I've done to the 100K wo out, 3-4 times shunted, box stock '96... Engine? Suspension? Nutt'n I tell 'um... Most jes wander off mutt'r'n... some have to get down on the ground and look all up under it cuz they don't believe me... '
OCTJMO... ICBW...
FWIW, if one insists on changing stuff, it's highly recommended to keep all the original parts and don't do anything that can't be put back in it's 'unmolested' form when ya go ta pass it on as most true Miata affectionado wants 'um that way... leastwise in my experience...

I've had her now for 2 years. Prestine only 56k miles so far. I've replaced the steering wheel to NB Nardis and head unit to a Pioneer with back up camera (not that I need it) and because I had to have Carplay integration. Other than updated wheels it's all original.
Here is mine. One of only two in Norway. Originally from Florida.
