Default N GA road recommendations

Hey all - my biddy who bought a Miata for his wife wants to drive his Miata in the mountains a bit to get to know it before Deals Gap in July - anyone have any recommendations for N GA roads that are not too far off and intermediate? Looking for somewhere around GA 400 north - dahlonega area, etc.

1) 75N > 575N

2) Go about 30 miles or so

3) Turn left/right off highway

4) Enjoy.

Another option is: http://www.motorcycleroads.us/

+1 for Dahlonega. There are some sick roads up there. No idea how to tell you how to get to the one we went on though..

Take 400N to Dahlonega then 19N till it dead ends and becomes 129 at a cafe called "Turners Corner" at that point 19 and 129 become the same road. You can loop 129N, 180W, and 60S. Each trip around the loop takes about 45 minutes to an hour and offers different pavement and a good combination of really tight roads and high speed sweepers. It's best to go earlier in the morning if you go on the weekend because this is a popular route for sportbikers and that has a tendency to attract police.

Stripes - that sounds like what we will be doing - we will be hitting it around 9-10am.

This is my buddy and I on a section of 129 north from Turners Corner to The hiking store at the top of the mountain. We got passed by a Honda RC51 and a Suzuki GSXR 750. This section is probably about 1/4 of the loop.

peter the 129, 180, 60 loop is what I take and is great for the different in style of roads, if you go one way and then go back in the opposite direction it will change the way it feels. Mainly 180, cause of the off camber turns. Just watch out for loose gravel on 180.

I believe the camera mount is just something my buddy fabbed up to attach to his front forks. The lens runs remotely to a camcorder that he mounts in the tail section of his bike. Same thing with the microphone. Not sure of the brand but I'd be willing to bet that it came from Radio Shack.
