Default Fort Lauderdale Clutch Install

Hi,

I'm planning a clutch and flywheel swap in the near future (if I can help it), but the labor rates around here are killer.

Figured I'd ask if anyone here would be interested in lending a hand in exchange for work food and some folding money for the help when I have the parts ready.

I haven't all the tools I'd need on me. Anyone in the neighborhood who's done one themselves and can help me do mine?

I'm doing mine this Sunday/Tuesday when I have off from work. I'll let you know how it goes, and what general tools you'll need. but I don't think I'd be able to go up there to help.

Its a good 2 hours away, wouldn't you prefer to do this at your place? In case of any complications?

Prow of the good ship fail - I forgot that. Thanks anyways. Still post about your work on the thread, though.

No problem man, if you weren't so far away. But so far, since I'm also doing a torsen diff swap. Just for the trans your going to have to take part of the exhaust off, along with the drive shaft too.

... and the chassis underbracing, and part of the front subframe. I think there's also part of the PPF to disconnect, but I may recall that incorrectly.

I have two of Keith Tanner's books, but I also weigh a 130 lbs and am not properly equipped to tackle this on my own at the moment.

Lol, oh yea, I forgot about the torque frame bar thing...

Yea I'm in the same situation, I've got one of my friends helping me. But he doesn't know anything so he's just an extra set of hands.

No takers? Trying to save some money by putting a little in someone else's pocket.

BTW:any way to relocate this to the Florida forum, I didn't know there was an exclusive one.

Though Bayly(ripracer) might have something different to say. Youd be surprised what 130 pounds can accomplish. For one lifting a 5 foot tall welding tank out of a lifted truck.

It might help if you posted in the Florida section instead of the southeast section.

I know Fred, I didn't know there was a Florida section.

I'll move it.
