Just a few around these parts... I, too, see some pretty bad @ss looking Miatas on I-40 and Walnut Street in Cary on my daily commute. Unfortunately, I'm usually in the Ford 500 company car.

I"m in Cary, just west of Raleigh. I think we should organize a local get together. There are a lot of mx-5ers in greensboro/high point, but that is a freaking haul, for weekly/biweekly meetups

YAY! I'm not ronrey!!
Ya, the meet sounds good. I mean, its the summer. Although I am usually swamped with work, I'd definitely be up for once in while. I dont usually see much worked out miatas around durham where I am. I've only seen one in Chapel hill, a white one with roll bar. |

Looks like a small gathering needs to occur in Ral-Durham this summer. Even if it's 4 or 5 of us, I'd like to grab a coffee or cold beverage and take a peek at your MX5's.
SlideMX5..., I know I've seen you on I-40 scooting around the RDU Airport area. I'm always east-bound if you're west-bound or vice versa... Your toy sits soo nice too! Lets pick a convenient Sat am or weekday evening for meet-up. BrierCreek seems to sit in the middle of the Triangle... Or, I'm open to some other idea and place. I live in Fuquay-Varina and work north of Durham. Yup, I knock out 90 mile commute every day through the worst of the Triangle's traffic mess... |

Sat evenings or Sundays would be nicer, as I work every Saturday, until 2. Brier Creek is a great location. Plenty of parking, even when busy.

Looks like we need to build a consensus and come up with date and time.
Some late Sunday afternoon? Brier Creek or Crossroads in Cary? Krispy Kreme -- jk... |

OK so would you guys rather do a
Friday night (@ 7ish) Saturday Morning (@10am) Saturday Night (@ 7ish) Sunday Morning (11am) thing? Lets quit effing around, and get this shit organized. We could do rotating places, to keep things fair to everyone, or select one "main meeting spot" for consistency. Maybe start out with First (2nd/3rd/4th) Fridays (sat/sun) for a few months. if it catches on, grow it into a weekly thing. What are your inputs? ======================================== I work Saturdays, until 2pm, and have my 3yo son every other week. So that kind of keeps my schedule awkward. I think a First Friday meet would be best, around 7:30-8:00pm, until whenever. Saturdays might also work as well, and would give us DDers time to clean up the car a bit. Maybe somewhere like Brier Creek. That would give us food options, and other things. Lots of back roads in Raleigh/Morrisville, Frankie's Fun Park, and general mayhem in Target. Lets get this thing rolling |

Now that's a list of options to choose from ^^^. Looks like two of us so far... To get this started - and at least put together ONE MX5 RDU gathering - I'll stay flexible and go with whatever works for the majority.
Chime in -- if you happen to live thru the 100F+ heat. |

I guess we're just going to have to pick a date. I have 1 friend, who is rarely on the boards, who would show. I can also post this up on Carolinamazdas and importsnc to see what happens.
How about Friday, Aug 6, around 7:O0, Brier Creek, back end of the Target parking lot? Can anyone make that? 1. DemonIam 2. Jasondr91 |
