Boston is an amazing city though. You've been there for a while so I am sure you are aware of all the good restaurants but my favorite is the No-name on the Boston fish pier.

We were next to No Name on Wednesday hanging around looking at visiting tall ships. It's actually about 5 minutes bike ride from where I live. It's a decent place for good fresh seafood. Barking Crab is also nearby and I'm within 3 minutes walk to Neptune Oysters. And not that far from the amazing new Island Creek place at Kenmore Square.

Still, I miss wings. They can't make wings in Boston to save their lives. Nor can they anywhere else I've traveled. It's Rochester and Buffalo, that's it We used to go every Saturday for like 10 year to Salty Dog, Distillery, Jeremiah's and a few times to Zebb's - tradition, y'know. Also white hots, the Rochester thing, are missing. Zweigle's would hit the spot once in a while

Anyways....anything in the city of Rochester is pretty damn ghetto. The historical districts arent bad, but anything with a school that is numbered I would stay away from.

The suburbs outside of the city limits are fine though. Brighton, Gates, Chili, Henrietta etc etc.....Or you could go to a far suburb (15 min away) like me. I'm in Canandaigua.

I did indeed, it's hard to find car guys around here.

That's sort of the vibe I got, the Rotary Club down there sent my platoon a bunch of care packages so we went down to visit when we got back.

Yea CNY pretty much summed it up. I grew up in Brighton (no I'm not actually jewish for those that know the reputation of Brighton) which borders the city and have hung out in the city at all hours of the day for years and never had a problem. Have there been dicy situations? Sure, like the 3am shooting outside Gitsis on Monroe ave last summer while we were satisfying the drunk munchies.

If you like great beer and don't mind hanging out with a 50% hipster crowd definitely check out Tap & Mallet.
