There will be lots of excellent scenery on this drive so definitely bring cameras.

Here is the planned route. Changes can be made of course but I thought this was a good start.

See you all at 5

My friend who used to live on Bald Peak recommends this slightly revised route: http://tinyurl.com/kj7ujf it eliminates a gravel section on Mountain Top and doesn't involve back tracking.

My buddy was hoping he could meet up with us here. It's right off our route and might be a good spot for an industrial themed photoshoot.

word. I haven't driven that section and I wasn't sure if there was gravel up there or not and I figured you chumps would not be down.

This is great though, I wanted to incorporate Kruger but didn't exactly know how without making it really long (or running into more gravel) but since you guys are cool with that this is perfect.

Looks like an awesome route!!

My diff is still leaking a bit. I tried this evening to fix it by trying a few different things. Who knows, I might end up with a torsen if I can't get this figured out soon, I'm sick of it! I want to stop worrying about my damn leaking rear end so I can go out and drive more!

Wow what happened there? I'm sure there's an interesting story behind those pics. Sounds like the person wasn't injured at least so that's good.

It was really just a freak accident more than anything and yeah he was fine. We were on a drive and he was tagging along and hit some gravel and his rear end kicked out which sent him flying across the road into the field. The grass started to catch fire then his car followed shortly after. We seem to think it was caused by the straw/grass touching his exhaust/cat/engine. It didn't help that the grass or whatever was dry as a bone. It made for an interesting afternoon to say the least. You can always buy a new car, not so much for people so thankfully the car was the only thing lost

Yeah I'd love to do that whole drive.. except start at a different time. Traffic on I5 out to wilsonville was killer.. especially in that heat.

Well.. good news.. my buddy might get decent money from insurance for the car. Not sure exactly how that works or how much. And his parents are gonna help chip in to get him something else.

That's awesome they're willing to do that for him. I thought my dad was going to kill me when he found out his car (mine now) was in a ditch. I remember him asking if the car was ok before he asked me how I was lol

Yeah I think a beach trip/bbq is in order for sure

That's good to hear about your friend's car and the insurance. I went back and drove a bunch of those roads again today just for fun. A BBQ sounds like a cool idea. I'll post some of my pictures from yesterday but not until I get back home from the beach on Sunday.
