Default My miata wont start!!! any suggestions?

hey my 90 with a 93 1.6 motor isnt starting or running i should say. it will turn over, run for about 1 - 3 seconds and die. I've already checked all the fuel lines, pump and filter and they are all pumping fuel to the motor properly. However when i open the flap on the air flow sensor and detach the return line coming from the fuel pressure regulator no fuel comes out. I checked my wires for spark and im good there so my plugs are getting power, however they haven't been changed in a year (i know, i'm gonna try to change plugs and wires tonight). so, all that leaves is air. theres no leaks anywhere so my conclusion is a bad air flow sensor. If anyone has any suggestions your help would be greatly appreciated.

timing is off, bent valves, low fuel pressure, maybe a bad sensor or incorrect voltage readings... just a few suggestions. what happened right before the symptoms started? what were you doing, where were you going, were you pushing the car at all that day, have you replaced any parts lately?

i was just drivin to work. every so often when i would go full throttle in second the power would drop at 4.5k rpm and then kick in again around 5.3rpms. i was just driving in the city doin about 22mph in 2nd at 2.8rpm when the rpms dropped and it died. fuel line, pump, filter, rail, pressure regulator, and injectors are all good. just put in new plugs, and they are getting spark. no air leaks anywhere. i dont have a timing light so i cant check that yet, as far as the bent valves i have no idea but i'm not boosting it so i doubt thats the problem. motor is a stock 93 1.6. i got a MAF on the way so hopefully that will fix the problem.
