Default A newb to the miata world with a 91

Just thought I would say hey. I just picked up a 91 with very low miles. Installed some Tein Basics last week and some sticky tires. Next week alignment. I am looking for a cage locally, but if I can find one, will be ordering within a couple of weeks.

I currently live in Canby and work in Beaverton.

I will be checking on here for a drive/meet i might be able to make. I come from heavy involvement in the MR2 world (260 whp first gen.) so it is cool to see more local involved with these cars.

Here is a picture. This was immediately after coilover install. It has since been raised up about 3/4". Desperately in need of a roll bar:

To start with a good alignment, roll bar and maybe door bars. For now I am not planning on spending lots of money on it, and plan on keeping it easy to drive for my finance. I have made too many cheap cars expensive with major power adders in the past.

Welcome. I saw you last week (?) at AR talking to eddie. Did you get your wheels from a guy named lincoln by any chance?

I'm liking this increase in pdx area owners. Hopefully our meets won't be lame anymore

Ya... That was me at Eddie's. I purchased the coil-overs and the wheels/tires from Lincoln.

I am looking for a roll bar, front sway bar, and possibly hardtop if anyone has any leads.

no leads on any hard tops or roll bars. I got my roll bar from Link a while back and have yet to install it. I fail at completing projects

No I do not, nor do I have a 12" 3/8 drill bit. I have a hard time justifying buying one when I'll only use it once.

Fail.

Welcome OP. I am excited to see all the new Oregon people. We could probably pull off a pretty solid meet by the end of summer.

The yellow miata being parted out is a bit overpriced. I called and they want $1450 firm for the hardtop.

FM's are great units, and only $200 brand new. Not sure if you have experience with other cars, where brand new sways will be $300+

Why the F do you think you need a 12" 3/8" bit? You don't.

Don't bother buying the FM sways. You don't need the rear bar. Get the RB hollow front bar + block and bolt reinforcement and remove your rear. Less work, less money, mo betta.

I am going with the RB front barand blocks. Already removed the rear bar. (needed to with the the Teins)

I think I will also do the Frog door bars or frame rails. I ordered the roll bar - should be here this week.
