dood, 206, this just popped up an hour ago
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/2945940324.html 94' (best year evar) Black with hardtop for 4k. 120k on car, and 60k on engine looks like the guy is willing to sell the hardtop for 1k, so you could possibly even get the car for just 3k or maybe less |

first year with torsen lsd, first year with 1.8L, still OBDI, and has a functional oil gauge.
That said, he states in the ad why he has a replacement motor. Wouldn't be worried too much about it. If it's been replaced, you pretty much get something a bit more reliable. I wouldn't hesitate, but then I have a garage to work on cars, so it's up to your situation. I'd go with this over a car whose owner had no knowledge of the car's history that had high mileage. oh yeah, pretty sure he's got an LSD on that thing as it's got power mirrors. Should be at least an A package and up. Only base models (manual everything except for maybe power steering) came without an LSD. He also states a replaced clutch, water pump, etc. EDIT: not sure if his ad means 1000 EXTRA for the hardtop, or if his price includes the hardtop...... sucks if it doesn't, but nothing a little bargaining can't solve |

Get the white one with a bent control arm. The coil overs cost more then his asking price.

The black 94 looks safer. You never know what's been tampered with and what's been done wrong when you buy a pre-modded car |

too bad the author of the ad for the black 94 deleted it...so i can't find it anymore...i am going to check out the 94 montego blue tomorrow..i'll tell you guys how that goes. Kinda sucks that he bolted on the HT. It has 102k miles.
asked him if he did autocross and yes he did time trials in the car...4 events...damn i bet he pushed the car....kinda makes me not want to look at it anymore lol this right here is the ideal miata i am looking for.... Montego blue w/black interior or a white miata with black interior http://www.silvercityautomotive.com/...nvertible.html |

but your certainly right about the car being pre-modded you'll really never know what the previous owner did to it. It makes me kinda hesitant since he did use the car in time trial events...kinda makes me wonder how hard he pushed it....

Dude its a Miata chill out. There are tens of thousands of young guys nation wide that hammer the shit out of their roadster every weekend at track days, autocross, you name it. Many of the cars are deep into the 100,000's for mileage. Just keep in mind that if you play hard you must look after the car too.

What are you plans for the car? For a Miata, I'd prefer a car that someone has taken to the track. This type of person is more likely to have kept up on the maintenance and is truly a car person. If it does have mods, you can tell a lot about the previous owner just by the quality of the work and the choice of parts. Also don't forget that there's a lot of cars sold that were previously modded (some more than others) and then after a part-out sale were then sold as "stock" cars.

So I need a front bumper cover, and both front fenders for my 91. Had a scare yesterday. If anyone gets on 520 in Bellevue on 124th ramp you will see the divet I made :banghead: in the grass. I was due for a reality check. Didn't bend or break anything other then a dent in the passenger fender and the r front lip tore the bumper.

A little bit m.netty but looks to be well cared for and older owner. Quite the price considering what's been done. Sell off what you don't want keep what you do.

I'd go with the 94 m-edition over that 96 any day. The 96, although stock, looks like it's possibly only a base model, with what might look like an A/C button (can't tell). doesn't have power mirrors, and if it's really a base model, will have manual windows
The 94 m-edition is loaded. Should have abs, a/c, torsen lsd, etc. |

kk i just saw the car, top is completely shot, rusted style bar, paint chips on the driver side door that also have rust, multiple dings all along the body on the driver and passenger side, dent on the trunk where it bends, drove pretty nice though...but yeah he had it up for 4.5k and wouldn't budge than got him down to 3.8k. The top needs to get fixed badly and that is a 550 dollar fix to replace it for a robbins top with glass... kbb is 2.4k. Oh and not to mention that the driver side seat looked like a wolverine decided to go at it and rip the living hell out of it...
I am gonna check out the 94 at 7pm i'll tell you guys how that goes... |

It's quite common for the cloth Miata seats to be totally fubar'd by the time they get this age. It won't be the first time you see that haha.
