Okay, we're going to host a get together and put the engine back in "Scrat" on the 25th...
PM me for address Early start works best as the sun hits the garage in the afternoon so... 10AM - ? We'll grill that afternoon/evening Free beer, liquor, food, snacks, water, etc Enough floor space and hide-a-beds to avoid any need for drinking and driving Spouses/significant other's are welcome as well as children (we have an 8 year old boy) Don't have to get dirty, moral support and watching is fine as well! Let's make this a fun get together and hopefully we'll get to meet some new people! Nannerpus - if you make it down we'll let you say the FastNFurious prayer! |

If anyone that is coming has a fender roller or can borrow one from someone that would be awesome... Looks like the 6UL's will be here and I need to roll the fronts... Thanks!

I'll be there later in the day. I've got to coach my niece's soccer game at 11:30a. Hopefully there is still work to be done by the time I get there.

Of course you should; however, stand by for details as The White Miata might not have access to the roller anymore so we may have to go Old School and use the heat gun and hammer method... |

As I told Ryan... they are called Sick Days and every employer should honour them...
Before I forget, the PD in my town is pretty strict and there are a few good hiding spots both on the main road to the neighborhood and as you enter the neighborhood... they like to lurk over the crest of the hill in the center median. So, 40 means 40 on the main road after you exit I-35 and the 20 when you get into the neighborhood is a hard 20... Those that PM'd have the address but if you need directions as well let me know via PM and I'll get you directions. 12 days to go! So stoked! Got the timing belt on, VC on, and alternator on this weekend! |

How has palmala been man? I have been meaning to pay her a visit lately. So, i possibly need to change out my tranny fluid and timing belt/water pump. Is this a feat that can possibly be accomplished? Ughhh I wish the gymkhana was on the week after, all this driving is going to be a pita! Lol

I also carry a nine, I've got more loads than your glock 26 can handle
I'm jk about your sister, unless she is into dark skinned people I'm SOL. On another note, would a timing belt change plus tranny fluid change be a possibility at this? If so I need to but the timing belt kit! |

I haven't done mine, yet, but I'm pretty sure it's around a 2 hour job if you've done it before. So I'm thinking double that with no timing belt experience. Tranny/diff is quick and easy if you have a pump of some sort.

Ryan - Check miata.net about the timing belt process and see if you're up to it... I've got the tools needed and there's a pretty good trick on miata.net about cutting the existing belt in half the long way and slipping the new one on eliminating the need to re-time the cams etc. If you're up for it, I'm sure we can make it happen!
PLEASE NOTE!!! Scrat won't actually be road worthy on the 25th so if you were hoping to get it all in and fire it up, won't happen... Sorry guys, I should probably have said that in the first post. There is a bunch more I need to get to make it run as well as towing it up to Dallas for tuning and dyno. I have too much money in it as well as my first IRTB set-up so have decided to let a pro double-check everything and be able to do the tuning... The 25th is just to get the bulk in and also to take the opportunity to host a get together, meet some new people, and swap war stories and even work on other projects ala Ryan... So, that being said, in answer to questions here or in the other thread, going with MSPNP for management, motor was turbo when I bought the car, wanted to go a bit more old school, and have a brand new NX Express 50HP kit in the corner of my garage should I change my mind... |

Of course! If we all play nice there will be a lot more get togethers and garage days hosted by us and I promise to let everyone know the day Scrat fires up... Most likely at Track Dog Racing in Dallas. The IRTB's will hopefully be installed on the 25th as well but that depends on whether I can get the trumpets back from powder coating in time. If I can't, I'll wait to have them powder coated so we can all see what it will look like less the trumpets matching the VC and oil pan...
