His new job prevents him from spending much time on forums, but I believe he does check on here once in a while.
My car is almost dialed in to a competitive point, but still far from where I want it. Hopefully I will put out a decent time next event. |

I do come on occassionally, but its not easy to get on a forum at work like most of you guys...
Thanks Dave! I think I can crack into 1.10 had i not screwed up the second hot lap, car came round the bottom double apex hairpin, rear started sliding, had to do some pretty evasive (and abusive) driving to correct, front left (unloaded side) hit the curb pretty hard while I still had the foot pretty much buried Least, I found out how difficult it is to upset my MX5 cup coilovers...

I don't usually prepay, but if weather looks good I might. I'll post back next week. Also going next Wednesday and torture test it in the heat.
You think this hood is worthy of paint? Before After

Honestly, no. But if you wanted to paint it, that's up to you. It'll look good either way since the 2-tone works on your car already. Just look at Simon's car if you want a better idea of a painted hood in red.
If you really wanted, you could even go as far as to remove the carbon layer and have it reglassed for strength and fitment, then painted. |

I have a hard time picturing it with his red for some reason. I am not good with colors.
I don't think I'd put that much work into it. I'd be modding the stock one before this. |

I think I might get it done end of the year. Looks a bit more subtle without the black hood. Getting pulled over in a gay car looking like a ricer is old. Thanks for the pic, J.
Yeah it is my car, I have a few other photos. I posted the before pic as well, should have done that in the first place. |

Indeed. I have been pulled over once in my gay ricer car - black hood hardtop trunk and big wing. OPP told me the car looks nice and started asking me all these questions about the car...supposedly pulled me over because he didn't know what it was.

Want to give a big thumbs up to the RaceCrono Android app. Tried it out it yesterday at Shannonville and it worked perfectly for lap timing. Super easy to set up and clean UI. Gives split times and ideal lap. Being able to trace through each lap is pretty awesome too.
![]() Also... the Torque OBDII app. Ability to have telemetry video overlay is awesome, but seems the sensor data refresh sporadically and are out of sync when in video playback mode. Supposedly have to compile the video using another program so hope that fixes that. An oh-shit moment for the screen grab...
