I saw them one time, all collaborating near Jaxson's ice cream place. Bunch of older people.

Bank Atlantic Center. There is another Autocross this weekend as well. Registration can be found here:
http://www.dlbracing.com

Scroll down to the 14th and look for Florida Region SCCA Autocross. There are a few people already signed up.

Nice wheels BTW... Spec Miata legal wheels, the only bad thing about them is that they are Spec Miata legal wheels... HEAVY!

Thanks. I got those wheels long time ago for a low price. They were the lightest I could afford back then when everybody was into 17 in fast and furious wheels. Have them for years and now was the first time I saw people using them when I got my miata last year.

EDIT: I have never been in an autoX event. Do they allow spectators, or non SCCA member volunteer on site? If you guys need a crew member I could go give you a hand. Excuse my ignorance, but I was in Gainesville most of the time and I only did drag racing since I was so close to the track.

Spectators are free... You do not have to be an SCCA member to watch or race. If you are not a member, there is a $5 temporary membership if you wish to run in the event.

I searched everywhere and after a long time going around I found this page.
http://www.dlbracing.com/clubs/drive...4739&LMID=3202

the event don't even show in the floridaregionscca.com website calendar. I saw several miatas in the list.

I've had three miatas so far but only know one current miata owner... most people here in Florida are into the Honda scene and 240s because they think miatas are chick cars but little do they know that its actually more of a drivers car (drift wise) because of the small wheel base....

most live near orlando. They have their own system for meets. We should make our own in miami. Yes there is the south florida miata club but that to me feels like old-older people that like miatas and probably still use the one they bought in 1989. Just me though.

i agree i rolled with two miatas to the local fast and furoius get togethers and we'd be the only three...they both traded for civic's.....to each their own and good riddance...mazda life baby!!

All right I'm down for organizing a new meet every once in a while. let's start to look for a common place where everyone can go comfortably. We can star with whatever amount of car shows up and let people know, so they join. I don't mind the old folks as long as they come and have a good time as well.

yes I saw that. I might be attending, but what we are trying to do here is to get a local meet going on in a regular basis. Something like Tampa and Orlando have going on every month.

I can scout for a place, but someone with more Miami experience than me will be more helpful.

i say somewhere between hialeah and kendall perhaps dolphin mall? are we counting folks from miramar in this, if there are any? it would be sweet to roll to the meets on bird in a clubroadster crew....just my thought especially since i'm the only miata theyre drowning in a see of teggy's and civics
