Default TV Turns on and has sound, but no display? Any ideas?

I have an old Flat screen 36" Sony Trinitron tube TV.
Recently, it stopped displaying any pictures and stayed black, but there was sound.

Anyone have any idea or experience on what may have caused this? I tried to do a search on google, but seems like everyone else has the opposite problem of mine (no sound, but has display). I'm gonna try and look for a TV repair and hopefully they can save my old tube TV

I think those old tube style tv's had a tendency to just stop working after a long time. You might just need a new tv.

It being a CRT its most likely that one of the tubes must have got a vacuum leak, its unually pretty expensive to repair CRTs.

you could pick up a pretty decent LCD for the cost of repairs usually.
