Roomate Wars any suggestions

so i live with 3 roomates one is my bff hahaha, and the other just a friend that i work with anyways we have a apartment and our lease aint up till november and he split and left to live with his grandma plus he still owes me 500$ of pass dew rent, what should i do?
oh and i forgot to mention that we got in a argument at work so i punched him in the face so i got riden up : (
so i punched him cause he said he was'nt ganna pay me cause he dont live there no more, so what should i do now?

If his name is not on the lease and there was no contractual agreement, then your screwed. And as far as you punching him in the face, if you dont use better judgment, you will be worrying about a whole hell of alot more than someone owing you 500 bones.

If I was your employer and you punched another employee, unprovoked, during business hours on my property, I'd fire the living fuck out of your sociopathic ass, no pansy ass write ups. I'd then offer the guy you punched some financial assistance as far as hiring a great lawyer so he could better afford to sue the holy living bejeezus out of you. That way, I curry favor with him and cover my ass, just to make sure he doesn't sue me for somehow having a violent workplace, intolerable conditions, or whatever the hell disgruntled employees who get punched in the face sue their employer for these days. I'd make sure that you'd be screwed like a prom date for causing unrest on my property and potentially causing me legal problems. Certainly then, you'd have far bigger worries than coming up with $500 back rent.

Advice? Well, $500 bucks isn't enough money to get in a twist over, so I'd just man up and prepare to have to pay his part. That's the risk you take with roomates; some of them up and leave, and stick you with the bills. Life's tough, roll with the punches, take the good with the bad, and all those other damn overstated quotations about life. Etc, etc, yada yada.
