after a few runs I finally got a 1.33.3xx.... I believe I could get real close to the top in a few more days of working and chasing ghost cars.

I have no idea how the top players are getting that jump right at the start though.

I can't chase my own ghost, because it will just take me too long to figure our what I am doing wrong. I'm usually right on their bumper during the first turn... I lose way too much time in the first turn and the turn right under the bridge.
I nearly had a 1.32 until I fudged the last turn by applying too much throttle... I was soo pissed. But I've been getting super consistent 1.33.Xxx though. |

For me (other than the start, where I lose at least 0.3 sec), it's the first set of S curves and the set directly under the bridge. It's hard trying to decide where to accelerate (keeping 3rd gear/ignore 2nd gear) at the start under/before the bridge. Other than that, consistent 1.33.xxx for me, too.

I've been a huge fan of the GT series since the original. I am dissapointed in GT5 mainly because I figured they would expand your options for tuning the vehicle, maybe be a little more detailed (a/f ratio, boost tuning, etc.). The major thing that KILLS me is that you can't do anything with the brakes....

I believe I hit my limit on GT Academy.. 1.32.605. I'll keep trying until the contest is over but, I don't know if I'll be able to knock 1 second off the time to make it to the National qualifier.
