The girly and I saw 'I Am Number Four' this afternoon. I hadn't read the book, she had. We both liked the flick quite a bit, though it apparently differs a fair amount from the book. Not a deep movie, but highly entertaining.
Also finally snagged a copy of 'Let the Right One In' and watched it on Saturday evening. Just like the American remake, 'Let Me In', it's slow-paced. A bit more character development than the remake, but, just like so many reviews note, the remake is pretty much a shot-for-shot duplicate save for a few revisions of certain characters and their traits. Caught most of 'Smokin' Aces 2' on tv this afternoon. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it, but it seemed like a total waste of time and film. Totally looking forward to seeing 'Suckerpunch' in a couple of weeks! |

Even if you aren't a fan of animated movies or Wes Anderson I would recommend watching The Fantastic Mr. Fox.
I like both so it was only natural that I enjoyed this movie. |

Who has watched the Mechanic? I liked the action, but the ending is weird. He basicly kills everyone and ends up in the same place he was at the beginning of the movie. And allthough I liked the scenes with the girl, they didn't add much to the film in total. Or am I just missing something?

Finally watched Pulp Fiction the other day. Can't say I was too impressed. It was an entertaining movie, but I don't really get why everyone is so obsessed with Quentin Tarantino films. I have never been a fan.

I've seen Glory road and Invictus yesterday... well both had quite predictable ending but both were quite good. Glory road was the better one, but Invictus has my almost all time favourite Morgan Freeman

I finally just watched "The Fighter". I know I'm late to the party, but I thought I'd leave a few words about it. I found it to be awesomely acted or Christian Bale's part and once again proves why he is one of my favorite male leads right now. However, I found they did such a good job making his family and Donnie so annoying and disgusting that I found the movie to not be that enjoyable. The acting, the directing, and the story were all top notch. It was just too much for me. It made me sick to think that there are people out there like that. I now understand why this movie was nominated. I also understand why all the people I usually talk to about movies, who are just as big of film buffs as I am, didn't overwhelming advise me to see this film. If I were to have to grade it like on a report card it would recieve all A+ scores, but I honestly don't think I want to or could watch it again.

Birdemic. A shockingly terrible movie in every conceivable way we judge films. It's one of those few movies that's so bad, it has it's own cult following

I work at a movie theater, It makes me hate my life. Upside is watching all the free new movies my heart can desire.
If you need reviews and what all the guests are saying about it then let me know. Im gonna watch an employee screening of Sucker Punch on Thursday. |

I watched of all things, Short Circuit last night. Nostalgia overload. Back in the 80'swhen everything was being filmed in the Pacific Northwest.
I used to have a huge kindergarten crush on Ally Sheedy even though I was like 6 when this movie came out. |
