Yea, I know about milk baths and shower cream. But this is the first time I have heard about keeping the skin white by simply drinking milk but evidently it works. My baby is pretty white for an asian baby since she is mixed, but she turns yellow if she doesnt drink enough milk.

I was mostly kidding. haha. Although the yellow skin occurs from the baby not processing the yellow pigment through the liver fast enough (not pooping as much as she should), so she needs to drink more milk so she can poop........thus drinking milk to make her whiter. haha

Hang out with Pat a bit around the Tempe area. I also have friends in Tucson that always come out to SD on vacation so now I can't make any excuses about not visiting.

Yellowing could be neonatal jaundice also. But I guess not if it goes away.

I see your deleted answer, my brothers kid had this, only way I knew. And by go away I ment go away because of milk, didnt know that helped.

Yes the milk helps by making the baby need to poop. More poop = more liver filtering. What helps best is substituting formula for 24 hours though, but the momma refuses to give her formula (can't remember if I said that in my last post). It wasn't a bad case of jaundice though. She just looked asian from the skin color. Nurses didn't even notice it.
