Evidently I'm special since I have 4G on my iPhone 4S in my area that I bought Tuesday. The guy I work with has an iPhone 4 and still only has 3G as well as my sister that has a 4S. I'm kinda feelin' baller.

No need to feel baller. All they did was update the symbol in the corner. If your co-worker and sister were to update their iOS they would also have this fabled "4g"
In quotes because all this 4g crap is a lie and and it is actually 3.5g. http://www.tuaw.com/2012/03/14/faux-...andards-icebe/ BUZZZZZZZZKILLLLLLLL |

The guy I work with claimed to have done the update too and still doesn't have it. It is faster than my previous phone the iPhone 3GS but like you said it kinda feels like 3.5G. It's not super fast like it's claimed to be. And I did kinda wonder/suspect if all the update were to do is just change the symbol and hope for a placebo effect of 4G
![]() Edit: I just noticed the link and checked it out. Suspicion: CONFIRMED |

I could really go for a nice stay-cation right about now. It feels like I need about 2 weeks off to get all my crap done. between working on the cars and all the work I need to do around the house... BAH!!!

For those who don't believe we've come a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way in technology, consider this:
In 1983, you could by this--the Motorola DynaTAC. With it, you could talk for about 30min between charges or 8hrs on standby. It weighed 2lbs. and cost a whopping $3,995 (that's about $8,000+ in today's money). Think about that next time you whine about your iPhone 4S's battery life and your inability to listen to Pandora without ads |

I always haz a sad when I see someone post about how crazy it is for a car part to cost more than his miata.
Really? How hard is it to find a car part that cost more than a cheap ass miata? If you ever worry about that, you are never going to have anything decent put towards the car. ECU, engine, turbo setup, paint job, some coilovers, some body parts, some wheels, some seats, a cage, etc...............all cost more than your cheap ass miata. |

When it comes to parts that valuable, I keep the stock items so when I go to sell I can strip all them off.

It must be nice to be a Porsche owner - they can scoop up used hard tops for $500 all day:
