haha. Like I said, I'm not checking for gains. I can't let something as simple as that effect my motivation. If it goes down, I'll just feel motivated that I am cutting fat. If it goes up, I'll feel motivated that I'm getting muscle.
As long as I have music, webcam, and Hajime no Ippo............nothing is effecting my motivation |

My body is tricky. I lose weight as fast as I put it on when it comes to weight lifting, which is why I prefer keeping my stamina high and doing long reps of light-medium weight.
Most I have gained in muscle from weight lifting is 10lbs per month. Lost it just as quick. Most I gained in muscle that stayed on me was during bootcamp. 10lbs per month (3 months) and I never lost it. I have been the same weight ever since I left boot camp 8 years ago. Just eating lots of protein and doing a lot of cardio and high reps during those months Most I have gained in the quickest time period........10lbs in 1 week from water weight when i deployed to africa and started drinking 10 bottles of water per day |

Yeah dude, unless you are eating tons of fat, like 7,000 calories a day, not happening. Even then it ain't muscle, you'll be chubbin up. You could be taking steroids and you're gains wouldn't be that drastic. I mean, you could be on a SERIOUS cycle and still only see 5lbs a week max, and a lot of that's going to be water weight. All said and done with the same bf% you'd be lucky to keep 15lbs on a cycle in a month once you lose your water weight.

Change of subject:
I"m not wanting to create a new thread for this simple problem yet, so I'll ask it here. The hardtop on a miata has the 2 silver plates that extend off the rear that goes over the frankenstein bolts and has the rubber plate that slides in place and is held down with 2 bolts My problem is that with taking my hardtop off a lot recently, it seems the thread fell out of the 2 screw holes on the rear latch so now I can't put bolts in it to hold the rubber slider in place that goes underneath the frankenstein bolt. Has this ever happened to you guys? |

to gain a lbs, you need to eat an excess of 3500 calories.. 3500 calories equals a pound.
Depending on your age and current weight, to gain 10 lbs a week. you would literally need to eat 5000 more calories every day than your required daily intake for a calorie surplus. 5000 fucking calories. Micheal fucking Phelps goes on a 7500 calories diet for the Olympics, and his height, weight, and activity level, that dude EASILY burns through 6000 calories. His metabolism probably takes care of the rest. Football and Rugby players don't run a 5000 calories surplus diet. |

135 5'11 I intake about 2500 calories alone in weight gainers a day when I work out, plus I'm home and not currently attending school. So I make home made meals to my specifications so about another 2000+ Maybe three days is pushing it last time I did it I worked out every day, then again you need to let your muscles rebuild..
Damn, I need to work out those 10-15lbs make a huge difference on a small frame... Thanks guys for making me feel unhealthy. ;] |

Fuck, you're a skinny bitch.
still, what you just listed doesn't add up to anything near a 5000 calorie surplus. Not even close, you're like maybe 4000 calories off. Guessing from your weight, I'd say you average daily low activity calorie consumption is roughly in the 2000 calorie ballpark. give or take a couple hundred. Depending on your workout, I'll figure to -400 since I doubt you're doing anything really extreme. That leaves you at a little under 2000 calories surplus. Also judging from your height and your current weight, your metabolism adapts rather well.. so it could just be burning off most of those calories without you even realizing it. I think your previous statement has been easily disproved. |

I have a half-brother who is 15. For various reasons I missed out on most of his childhood although he lives in the same town I do. His mom contacted me recently to say, "he has the car bug". So I've invited him over to play on cars in my garage with me. (I think they only have a Honda minivan, so I understand he's starved for cool cars to play with.)
I'm thrilled she contacted me after all this time, and I'm excited to get to know him better. However; I'm 38 and I'm not really in touch with the ol' 15-year-old boy frame of mind. Well, I'm not really in the frame of mind of a 7-year-old girl and I love playing with my niece... Hmmm. Chris |

Speaking for the 24 y.o. crowd, I will agree that while boobs are great, they aren't everything. Having huge boobs and no ass makes a woman look ill-proprotioned imho. Balance is key (at least for me) when it comes to looks, but that can all quickly go out the window if the girl is a hoe-bag.
