GRM is definately more technical and a much more informative mag, but I think SCC is far from ricers and poseurs. |

SCC has had some pretty cool Miatas in the past. Their current project Miata is definitely no joke. You really can't compare the two since they cater to different crowds. SCC is definitely not rice though.

Super Street just doesn't know, or want to even try to see how capable Miatas are. Way too insecure with themselves. Modified has gone soft, I think they killed it for me when I got 4 issues out of a years worth subscription when they first started. Import tuner has their moments. Turbo, which I think is now DSport had a pretty good last issue, 471WHP E85-turbo'd, Alt. fuel NB. They all have their shining moments, but SS is by far the lowest on the "should I look through it" scale at all times for me. |

Sport Compact is a pretty decent auto publication and yes they were pretty ricey, back in the day, but what import oriented magazine wasn't (excluding GRM of course) ricey when they started. I mean they're whole purpose in the beginning was to sell magazines and to do so they had to appeal to the teenage masses. Turbo, SCC and GRM are all good reads.
Any car magazine that had a separate section for models is a waste of paper. If I was to look at the ladies, I'll do it for free on the internet. |
