when are you gonna put that shit in?
lol
im not sure if i will make it , but are going to try.
the manifold you have is for a 1.8l ,right ?

more specifaclly, i need to know if the 1.6l mani(which i think sits a little higher) & 2560 (coincidentally) will fit my FM/DG Extraction hood. the vents seem to line up right on top of where a turbine would normally sit.
but Flippy , from your first hand look, where does your manifold place the turbo, inbetween pistons # 3 & 4 ? also would you say the turbo might sit about level with the Valve cover? , or higher?

the downpipe is shit hahah not really, but its the biggest problem with the kit...

lemme start, with the turbine to the downpipe fitment, the clearance is close to none, u have to really work magic to get them on... or just run 4 out of the 5 haha yeah thats not the right way.

since its a two piece downpipe, its held together w/ one long bolt and i think i've tightened it trice cuz sucker keeps coming loose.

the downpipe to the cat was a female end... so was the cat, so i had to find a gasket to make it work.

and it leans on a chassis brace. soooo thats very annoying, i removed that brace till i find a way to clear that.

hehe u can decide... what are u trying to mount this on??? i have an extra manifod that i need to swap before i have to send it back to begi.

Hey Pakman, more info on this front mount setup you got there. Where did you piece the parts from and how do the pipes clear the hood?

Phil, Unfortunately I don't recommend this setup just yet. I still need to see what modifications are needed to the hood to clear it. There is approx 1 1/2 inches I can probably open up by cutting the insides of the hood. If that works than I will do a write up and parts list for you guys. I know quite a few people want this setup and trackdogracing.com has began selling them a litlte shy of $2k.

Default Re: HKS turbo manifold

I ran a TD04 15G from the 1.6L Greddy kit on my 95 with the HKS manifold. (now sold)

The manifold puts the turbo VERY close to the hood. I never had any paint issues or anything, but if you have a vented hood i doubt it would work.

Also - the DP was a PITA to make, more so than if the turbo sat lower in the car. I managed to get a full 2.5 stuffed in there, but it was tight - had to do kind of an "s" curve to make it work.

This manifold is for a T25 flange. T3/T4's will not fit.
