anything that will add more air will need more fuel. the emanage is okay, but the lil upgrade parts can be so expensive. if ur getting the emanage blue, then u have to spend more to add timing control etc etc. like an ala carte thing

The way to tell if it sucks, is if there are axles going to the front hubs and there's no drive shaft going to the back wheels.

if you feel comfortable with wiring the megasquirt seems to be the best way to go for a cheaper ECU. I am going this way this summer. You can get a MS kit for about 300 dollars then add the wideband in and you will be good to go. THe folks at DIY auto tune will be able to talk to you about what you should get. You can also get the same model they use for their PNP so you can use their base map.

What year is your car??

Cause right now you can get any OBD1 car a PNPMS from DIY for 700. Its the best system you can get sub $1000. Its going to be 100x better then the emange for any car OBD1 right now. I know DIY is working on starting the OBD2 system but not sure on any new date(have an OBD1 so haven't keep up with it)

Doesn't the BEGI kit come with a FMU?? If so then you would be set for low boost fuel.

Dont be a fool. Spend a litlte more and worry a lot less; get yourself a Megasquirt PNP and done with it. Lets see, if you have a 1.6, then getting rid of the Mass Airflow Meter will cost a little less than $20.00. And to run the larger injectors is a snap. Wiring...what wiring? The ECU connectors snap right into it! The interface is great and there is a lot of support on the net for it.

MegasquirtPNP is so easy even a caveman can do it. couldn't resist..just unplug old ECU...plug in Megasquirt....set timing and away you go
