Apologies if you've seen this on other boards, I'm just showing off
First off washed the car, nicked Firestar's throttle cable (thanks again matey! :thumb-up: :thumb-up: ) with the first top down drive of the year, and first top down drive with the 6pt cage, awesome! So car on Ramps, to help ease the load on my back ![]() ![]() And a before shot of the engine bay ![]() Big box of bits, coffee, and a supercharger ![]() Over an hour later the throttle cable is in! that job deserves it's reputation..... ![]() Installing the copper heatshield for the WB ![]() In! ![]() Supercharger bracket installed.... ![]() Idler pully assembly installed ![]() A decision was to be made on which throttle body to use, the US one I got thrown in with the kit with the funky butterfly opener (I think it gives a less linear opening to make low rev driving easier? or stay with the original. I went with the former and then found my throttle cable didn't fit as it's attachment point was lower down the curve, so the stock one went back on ![]() Dummy throttle body installed ![]() I actually got the charger in place today, but it got dark so didn't take a pic, more to come tomorrow No update last night cos I was fooked!! first off in the morning (5.40 am start as the missus had a shift at 6.... didn't start till about half 7 tho... was to adjust the bracket for the throttle cable so it's straight and true with the pully. ![]() then it was a case of attching the charger to it's bracket. I forgot to ake a photo of that bit, but the next job was to test fit the A/W intercooler ![]() I flited about between jobs cos I'm a bit scatty at times, so next up was fitting the flex pipe to the throttle body and trim any hoses to fit the pipework ![]() fitted the cleaned airfilter ![]() ![]() with the fitting of the airfilter I noticed it was fouling on this bracket for the stock airbox, so I bent it out of the way ![]() I then realised it was bolted in place, so I bent it back straight and unbolted it, saved about 3 grams Extending the MAF wiring ![]() Done! ![]() And the other side.... ![]() (Can anyone spot the (non)deliberate mistake?) Next job, I need to mount the A/W pump, one bracket ![]() Needs bending.... ![]() placed the A/W radiator into position, it's actually wedged between my A/C lines tand the bottom of the bonnet catch, 3/4 zipties and It's solid! I'd prefer a more elegant solution normally, but hey, it works! ![]() Camera decided to have a fit here, hence the weird colours. ![]() Fitted the filler neck, and filled with coolant/distilled water. I also routed the overflow into the stock overflow tank. at ta later date I'm goint to add the overflow tank as part of the system to increase the water capacity. ![]() All fitted, and running, Now i need to sort all the wiring out and generally tidy up, then I need to sort a base map out and drive the thing!! ![]() ![]() and a Vid expertly taken by my mate/tuning buddy http://media.putfile.com/parasite-67 |

correct!
Meant when I fired it up the TPS signal in MegaSquirt didn't jump to the position it should be at, it just slowly rose to full and as soon as I let off the throttle it jumped back to zero. Didn't really incur any drive-ability issues as I only use the TPS for Acceleration Enrichments |
