when i was at the shop, it seems like every one of you guys are running toyo r888's. i guess that is your street/track tire of choice? im actually on the comp right now ordering some rt-615k's right now. although not as nice as the toyo's, for the price break ($116) you cant really go wrong with them.
cant wait to see your car in action later this year! |

Thx, I didn't do the tires through Ocean I just ordered the 6UL's from 949 and that was the recommended tire and their price was very good for them. I also have some slicks which I will use if I sort out a tow vehicle for the summer. I've used the Falkens on another car and found they got pretty mushy when they got hot but not bad for a duel purpose tire.

Ocean form Chikara has provided all the parts and I don't have a list/bill yet...just left it in his hands. Contact him for info on parts used.
Old engine out and engine bay freshened up, heater core out, power steering out...ready for new engine and 6-speed. I think we're just waiting on the ITB's for now. |

How much can you "really" benefit from a coolant reroute? I think with the motor built the right way and with tight tolerances and the whole she-bang, plus in a very analytical detail oriented hands of Ocean, you're going to have a dependable and able motor. Too much BS and it's just whatevers. No?

Thx Alpha...I don't bug Ocean with these questions, if others want to ask why this or not this they are welcome to. I trust him and Maruha's experience in Engine building and will stick with what they decide for me. As the weather is getting better here I am getting antsy.

So beautiful. You should hit the ORPCA ORP weekend in July. I would love to see this in person.

Looking good buddy. I'd say any Miata motor assembled by Ocean is very meticulously done. Not out of this world built, but done "nicely" and to me reasonable. Too much people talk shiz and diss how he builds em or what parts he uses. And ppl are always ridicuing how much power they put out, etc. Frankly I like how the motors are put together and choice of parts are right on. We have too many retards in this world err on the net. I look forward to the continued buildup of this motor...
