Wow man, I am sorry these events occurred. People have no respect or responsibility for their actions anymore.
Best of luck getting her back up and running |

Why not just do a tube chaise front?
And looks like the crash was during a drift event..... |

2 reasons
1 I don't have a tube bender. 2 NASA requires OEM frame rails. Otherwise it puts me into TTR class. sent from my office at Performance Friction |

Started off with some structural dimensions.
A quick plug. Flyin' miata is bad ass. They sent over all the measurements I needed. Super cool of them. uploadfromtaptalk1333829497188.jpg if anyone needs a copy just pm me. sent from my office at Performance Friction |

I have to say to some posters above...whether or not someone has driven a 600hp car or not has nothing to do with it....whether or not they are a responsible individual and a skilled driver does.
There are plenty of people who have driven high hp cars who will crash them...this POS ex friend is someone of crap character. I've driven many many cars from street cars to race cars. From 100hp to 700hp. If I can't afford to fix it...I dial it back from 95% to 85-90% depending on the part of the track I'm on. The GT2 RS I drove...perfect example. I never got over 95% anywhere...and was at about 85% in 2 parts where the track had little room for error. To the OP...sorry it happened. Not your fault...you had no idea he was a turd...don't let it sour you from getting instruction from faster better drivers in the future. |

i made some real progress over the weekend ill post some pics in the morning.
it has nothing to do with how much power the car has. i knew the car had a chance at being crashed. it's a track car. i'm sure this won't be the last time this thing slams a wall. it just sucks to lose a friend over it. at the time of the crash i was out of work, and i spent my last few $$$$ just getting myself and my buddy to LS fest. on top of that, all my time was talking up fixing my buddy's 350z. yea the guy that crashed it.... free of charge, i was building his drift car. so it really sucks that i was helping him out when he flaked. after the crash i dropped my tools and got a job, so i could fix my own car. so thank god Performance Friction gave me some work. This thing should be up and running with upgrades by next weekend. |

What do you do at PF again? We run them on the back of our truck after having issues with other pads. They have some nice bite to them and I'd like to see them for the front end. It's a 99 dodge with a coal burner and an 02+ rear end swap.
Also- ya'll make anything for the 4 pot wilwoods we all run? |

Well lets get this show on the road.
As you might remember the car was crashed at holley’s LS fest. I recommend any potato lovin` Americans to come out to the 2012 event ![]() “Potato loving?” think of a camed v8 and say potato-potato- potato-potato- potato-potato----- potato-potato- you’ll get it. Any way. ![]() We fixed up what we could and finished the weekend. after the crash the car wasn’t as fast as it was. The first day I finished first with a few sec to burn. Day2 and 3 we where just stuck in 2nd ![]() I got the car hole to check out the damage. The core support was fucked, the frame was bent, and the fender, bumper, hood and headlight where all destroyed. When this happened I was broke as a joke. I spent all my $$ getting my car down to KY, paying for hotel rooms, and food for everyone that went with. Not to mention I didn’t have a job. So I got a job and moved to charlotte NC. After about 2 months of work I saved enough cash to start buying replacement pieces. Rented a truck and bought a hood. Went down to maz mart to find the biggest item that would fit in the back of a wrx/saab wagon I removed all of the damaged parts from the car. The frame rail was bent thankfully before the suspension pickup points. This did require me to cut a massive amount of car away |

Sucks to hear about the circumstances around the accident. That's one of the reasons I very, very rarely let anyone drive mine, and mine's pretty much stock. Hope it all gets sorted

What's the advantage of the Ls2 Lifter trays? Nice car by the way and ups to you for not giving up. The whole situation sucks, but shows your "friends" true colors

got some parts in the mail so it was back to work!!!
![]() some oil ![]() for the ls7 lifters ![]() you can see the ls2 lifter trays. other then beaing able to fit into a ls1 they seem to be more oil flow friendly ![]() now you can see them side by side. ls2 trays are on the right. ![]() filling them up wif oil ![]() the new heads next to the lightly used ones ![]() much much larger valves, and they are ported too. should flow nicely. ![]() ls motors have a strange torq procedure. you torq them to 22 ft libs turn them 90* and turn them 90* again. putting little lines on the bolts helps keep track. ![]() ![]() got them on ![]() I'm still waiting on a set of holley valve covers to come in. when they came in, it will be ready to start. |

Sorry to hear about your wreck. With friends like him, you dont need enemies. Glad to see you picked up and are getting it fixed. I'm jealous of your car, sick to say the least.
Where did you move from? I lived in Charlotte for a few months then moved to Raleigh. Have you seen any newer LS1 swapped Miatas? I had seen one, silver or grey. |
