I just ordered a set. So, would you mind describing the modifications. Looks like a new hole. Do you also have to beat the circled area with a big hammer?

There is no new hole. You just lightly hammer out the circled area. This only needs to be done on the passenger side (due to exhaust routing)

Update guys! We have come out with a version 2, for all of you tall guys! This seat mount fits seats up to 16.5" wide, and allows you to put the seat as low as it can go. We got rid of the slotted holes and made this one piece, for ultimate strength. There are a number of holes in the side mount for you to adjust your seating preference to fit you best. This will fit seats with parallel sides only (i.e. Sparco Sprint V, Bride Zeta III, etc). It requires major modification of the transmission tunnel.
Price is $150 shipped and paypaled anywhere in the continental US!

Hey i just got my seat mount and i have to say they are awesome! The quality of the work and details are second to none. I had doubts about the price being so high but seeing the finished product all powdercoated and precision cut put any doubts to rest. Anyone who is considering seat mounts needs to get these no if and or buts about it. Thanks for the great product!
