Hey guys. A friend of mine Andy is making custom steering knuckles and wanted to know if anybody else would be interested. The knuckles will increase your steering angle. Andy has been running these knuckles for two years at over 20 events including 3rd in 2010 pro-am season against ryan kado and luke lonberger, and two All Star Bash events without any issues. If you don't know who Andy is he owns the white Miata with a SR20DET. You will need to supply him with your own knuckles if he doesn't have them in stock. Turn around time from when they receive your knuckles is one week. This is for off road purpose only. If you are interested please send me a email and I will get you in contact with them. garagestar@gmail.com
- Price $200 Update as of 03-02-2012 Andy and Galen are ready to take orders. If you are interested please send them a email. Also there will be a release of liability form that you will need to sign before they start on your knuckles. They are doing this to cover their asses. ken,
so you know if nb1 and nb2 knux are the same? im off to google it now. i will edit my post if i find anything. edit: holy hell this is kinda confusing. lol -nb1 knuckles (no abs, and nb1 never had sport brakes) will go on an 01-02 nb2 as long as the nb2 doesnt have abs or sport brakes.. all 03's had sport brakes (and of course the MSM too) and could have also had ABS. (i dont have it and dont like it, so i dont care.) So thats not a direct bolt on. -01-02 nb2 knuckles will fit on an nb1 as long as you dont have abs on both cars and the nb2 doesnt have sport brakes. -na guys... your on your own. do your own research. lol got most of the info from FM: Quote:
edit#2: does he have any before and after shots of knuckle angles? |

It's up to Andy when he decides to stop making them. If we can get the ball rolling I am sure he would keep cranking them out.

How do these compare to the Level7Tune ones?
Any angle changes? geometry changes? |

knuckles are the single most important part to make a miata slide.
basically bringing the tie rod mount closer to the center increases the angle. the questions that are important are . whats the distance of the new hole? which will tell you what size wheel you can use. and what the increase will be. Andy is a badass , and this is actually a smoking deal if you want the ability to go in deep and hold angle with ease and control.in fact its necessary ild jump on it if i didnt have something similar. |

Will these effect the guys who are running smaller wheels (13"&14") also is the price with or with out core . For some it might be hard to put the car down to wait for the knuckles to be made .
Also since the outer tie rod end is moved further out is a longer inner or outer required . |

That's interesting... so instead of shortening it, he's drilling a new hole further in and reinforcing it? That would leave the "stock" end in place should one ever be forced to go back (for stock/high offset wheels), yeah? I'm sourcing some knuckles now because I don't want downtime, will be in touch ASAP.

Andys car has 50* steering angle with 4* of ackermen. These are fine with power steering. We can do a more or less aggrresive drill depending on what the customer wants. We are not supplying core knuckles due to differences between the various models of miata. We also don't want to be liable for wearable items such as wheel bearings. Photos and more info up soon when I'm not at the shop.

No Group buy discount because it's already a great deal for these. Plus I am helping a friend promote this.
