I'm hoping you have or are going to start a build thread for that thing.

My "tuck" as it stands... the only wires cut/extended are the two running to the FPR and the two going to the IAT sensor for the Megasquirt. All wiring is tucked under the lip of the fender, still inside the bay but mainly out of sight. It is routed under the headlights from there. I still need to route the hood release cable behind the light. Injector wiring is under the rail and the FPR is moved to the rear of the IM. EGR is gone in addition to the obvious things. I really want to put the filter in the bumper for a cleaner look but it would be a ton of work not worth it I think. And I HATE that stupid blue intake elbow...

Anyone have any solid reason not to get rid of the stupid rubber caps on the headlight adjusters? Or has anyone removed that whole manual mechanism? I cant use it anyway because of the low-pro's

has anyone found a source for a rubber grommet to plug up the existing firewall holes from where the wiring harness passes through?

I just used the one that was already there and filled the hole where the wire was with a rubber patch and some silicone.

I'm actually going to be relocating them, so I can't do that. I'd like something a little more factory looking as well.

Relocating what? And how can you get more factory than stock? I'm confused. o_O

This sounds nuts. I don't know about deleting the power brakes, lol. Wondering what route you went since you gave up contacting them, though.

And that wilwood setup is nuts too

I'm reusing the firewall grommets, just moving them elsewhere in the car, hence the relocating

I would rather find something like this:

Not just a factory wire grommet filled with caulking... that's not "OEM"

Mid-wire tuck. Finishing off the driver side tommorow and then tackling the pass side. The only think I will do differently is I won`t bring the wires into the cabin and drill an extra hole like I did on the driver side. Rather keep the fuse box as the only think in the bay and route the wires through the already existing hole to the fender area.

Has anyone here completley removed the diagnostic box? I never use it, or see the need for it in the future. I've so far fully removed the MAF connector (aside from teh two wires I need for air temp sensor, running MS), the brake fluid level sensor, the blue connector for helping set timing (+ wire) and a few other things.

Since I don't use the dianostic box and with the MS, it's fairly useless, I want to just cut it off and seal off all the ends of the wires from water. Do any of these wires ground anything else? Or work in a fully system where if you were to remove the box part of the wires (where the terminate) that it would cause anyting else on the car to stop working?

Oh, and I'm having a hard time finding a rubber gromet to use for my new 2'' hole I drilled as well as a solid rubber 2.75'' plug for where the wires used to come out. Any ideas?

If you have MS I don't think you need many wires at all... pretty sure the diagnostic box can go too but I'm not sure. Its not like they're leads to anything else, they all dead end in the box.

I did

But I realized I cut off my resistor to make the tach work... now I have to find it in my mess of wires on the floor.

My driver side will basically ONLY be the lights and one relay.

Does anyone know what the blue relay is that's under that black box in the drivers side of the bay, right next to the clutch slave cyl?

Good thread this, I'll try to do as much of this as I can to my Wataru.

As for all the holes, I'm all for welding them shut along with removing all the brackets you're no longer using... it somehow ruins it to delete all the wires etc, and have a load of random holes, brackets and stuff sticking out for no apparent reason!

Well unfortunatley I am not going to be welding anything in the near future.

And I still can't find a 2'' grommet for the new hole I drilled to pass the wires into the fender area.

Drivers side done. And yes, everything works I checked. I couldn't figure out where to route the hood pop, so it's kind of down the middle. But I don't mind.

Pass side fully underway. The most difficult part of this is going to be getting the TPS, water temp sensor and a my COP harness routed descretley.

Falcon, pop the cable out of the hood latch and re-route it right along the inside of the fender (inside of bay). There's a reinforcement attached over there for the headlight bucket assembly, if u run it in between that and the fender it keeps it along the side, then run it under the headlight and back over to your latch and re-attach it. That's what I did and you couldn't even see the cable at all.

Here's the cable, running thru the turn signal housing opening.

And you can see it running next to that assembly, right beside the headlight:
