Circuit, FC, MX-8 look great.

Conner, what color did your gauges end up being when lit?

Just a brighter green. As retro as the rest of my car might try to be, I like bright lights (LEDs in the map lights and in the visor delete plates).

Ryan, check out stoly's NB gauges. Might be your style.

Good call Curly.

Trying to figure out why the driver's side parking light (blinker works fine) is intermittent. Ordered a new blinker harness from Rosenthal. Not exactly sure that's the problem, swapping bulbs harnesses back and forth and basically they are all sketchy.
Question though, white or yellow LED bulb?

Max, everyone!

Aren't those the turn signal indicators? White is illegal in Washington for sure.

Yellow and stock headlights. Or if you must do something to your headlights, have Bo get you some RS Active or Bellofs or something.

Fine!

I killed my battery trying to diagnose these damn signals.

I wonder if it's the LEDs. Dunno.

I've heard that LEDs can/do require resisters (or something) to be installed to work with certain turn signals.

Something about not having enough resistance to operate the flashers?
(Don't know the specifics, but remember reading about them on one of the major online LED bulb suppliers.)

Have you swapped in stock turn signal bulbs yet to see if that resolves your issue?

And of course, nothing quite as crisp and clean as a stock-ish appearing white NA!
(Though I may be a bit biased!)

I've read a little about that too, could be. The bulbs would work, if I played around with them and/or messed with the harness wires. Then one side would work then all of a sudden just NOT.
Problem is I don't think I can use the incandescent bulbs with the TSIs, too much heat and melting the plastic.

Some LED bulbs come with built in power resistors, I would assume the ones that came with the TSIs would have them build in. Do the incandescent bulbs have the same issue?

BTW, are you in Playa Del Carmen?

Garage updates!

I've been researching lighting upgrades for my garage. Decided on repacing 3 single bulbs fixtures and "plugged in" 2 bulb T8 fixtures with 3 hardwired T5 high output fixtures. Almost went with LED but the initial buy in on LEDs were about 2x the money and about 1/2 the lumens.
I also received my Sonic Motors SP2 seat.

Before.

Pretty straight forward in hooking these up, another set of hands would have helped with getting them really straight.

They come wired with this super easy wiring clip, just push the wires in.

Took a break and unboxed the seat. Looks and feels pretty good. This seat has more differences to my VS3 seat than I thought it would. Different seat material, different textures, but similar enough to match.

It works!

Cars.

They are as bright as I hoped they would be.
Each fixture should be around 7000 lumens.

Seat under good lighting.
Hopefully I'll get to the seat tomorrow.

I need to know... which seat feels wider in the hips and shoulders? Shoulders are mostly my concern. I know the SP2 should and pretty sure that's what I'm ordering but hearing your real world feedback would be super-d-duper.

Thanks dear.

I did take a few minutes jumping into both. Hips don't feel that much wider, which I think is true to their numbers but I did feel a little extra room at the rib level and especially shoulders.
I'll have to spend a little time with a dead blow on the tranny tunnel tomorrow. The forward left corner of the seat makes contact.

Nice. I promised the wifey no parts until after we move... and I just ordered another hub, lol. So I should be ordering within the next month. I'll pretend I'm patient and wait to hear even more about its awesomeness. I need those couple extra inches in the shoulders...

How tall are you again?
My VS3 seat is far back as possible which puts the left shoulder wing further back, past the door card bumper. Which means it makes contact with the interior piece near the top latches. I don't think you'll get the SP2 back that far unless you did like El Greigo did and shaved some material off that wing. He said it was no big deal, you may need to do something like that. I found that to have a comfortable angle/recline the shoulders will be tilted back. I'm about 6ft even.
I don't plan on having the passenger seat back that far in hopes that I won't have to make any modifications to the seat. I'll let you know today.
