Setrab cooler + whatever AN lines you want.

I'm partial to redhorse. In black. Ryans car doesnt need the silly colors.

Ryan dropped his car off today for the install. Few beers later, we're getting somewhere!

Greta was dropped off for a quick diagnosis. When we plug in the oil pressure sensor it blows the tiny 500mA ecu fuse. Once I figure that out (most likely a short in the $7 China sensor), I'll be tearing Ryan's car down for 90% of a wp/tb job to fix some leaks and upon reassembly we'll be installing the rotrex.

FWIW I never had any issues with my power steering, even with 225 Toyo RR's on 90+ days. I used the stock "cooler" which is basically just a pipe up behind the radiator on an NB.

Quality fluid is key and makes all the difference. I've always used Mobil1 synthetic in the PS system.

Maybe It might be too long. I've found at least one more to give you.

IIRC for PS no AC you need a belt that's 6 inches longer than a stock PS/noAC drive belt.

Yeah, I read people liking low foaming Redline fluid.

I'd love to hear people's personal experiences of having driven both driven, tracked, autoxd and lived with both power, depowered racks and which you end up liking the best.

You'll get answers all over the map. Tire grip, arm strength, amount driven, condition of rack/PS system all changes. If you didn't like it before it started breaking, switch to PS. If you did, keep it unpowered. Switch to a manual rack if you'd like a little less effort.

I autocrossed quite a bit with a powered rack on 205s and a depowered rack in 225s. I honestly can't say I felt a ton of difference but they were a season apart. I was too lost in the moment and just a dumb Ricky Bobby wanna go fast driver so I'm terrible at actual feedback and reviews. I can say the depowered rack is exhausting at times like in 4-5 at PIR where I'm fighting hard with my left hand/arm. I also never welded or pinned the shaft so that little bit of empty wiggle going straight sucks... Especially in any kind of grooved surface when I'm whipping back and forth all over the road.

If I wasn't yanking the AC at the same time I probably would have stuck with powered. I don't miss it enough to switch back but which I had never left...

Side note, I'm reading there had been some improvements made to the powered rack for the NA8, no idea what though. 503Garage has 95 ps rack over at Aidan's for me. Just needs to be pulled from the car.

I think I've pretty much ruled out a manual rack, I don't want to increase the steering ratio.

Will you do an early head gasket and reroute to keep things cool with the brotrex?

I dunno, but Josh keeps asking me questions, which I'm not sure what they might lead to.

With all the cooling talk, is your header wrapped? If not, TDR heat shield maybe?

I've got a TDR shield I bought and may never use. Hit me up if you want. It's barely used. Have all hardware.

So while Curly has my car, I have his Smurf. Poor Smurf doesn't get a lot of love these days but I loved driving it back to my house.
Greta, Smurf and my car at CSTG.

NB1 engine swap, Billies, stripped and, no turbo for now, *cry*. I'm gonna give the exterior a little love while I have it.

One pass of rubbing compound and DA polisher.

This is gonna be messy. 2x2 square of the trunk.

It's brand new!

Edit: I'll need it for about 2 weeks.

It's a September 2015 build date with 4500 miles on it! I'll need a replacement car though, how about the wagon?
