I think turbo, it's quicker and easier to do (relatively speaking) than a v8 swap. And I just want to drive the car, I haven't driven the car much this year, too much house modding bs lol. Regardless, turbo and v8 keep being pushed back because I'm dragging my ass with my basement project, it's hard to stay in the basement working when it's so damn nice out.

Yup, Energy mounts, I'm also swapping in stub axles, and installing my Harddog hitch. Then I'll be moving up front to replace the hose that exploded and hopefully motor mounts.

And today brought disappointment.

Falken 912's 205/50/15's on a 15 x 10, yuck sauce stretch. I wish 512's were still available.

vs my old 512's same size

Oh well, motor mounts tonight.

Why didn't you get the new 950's?

^Didn't know about the 950 (newb). I got the 912's for pretty cheap so I'll run them for a little while see what happens.

Anyways, this explains the clunking sound I was hearing at the last event

New mounts are in, what a pita. New caliper, rotors, and pads are installed as well. Just the rears, worn from all that illest handbrake action.

Everything that needed replacing was replaced, so all that was left was a fill and burp.

Ran the car, nothing blew up.

Went out for a shakedown run, everything works, and the car feels great. Having motor mounts is neat.

The 912's rub the flares a bit, but it's just the rears so not a huge deal. Oh and the new meister is finally on, driver side rear.

Inspection mode, borrowed Dragula's Kosei's and his kustom exhaust silencer.

Got home after getting inspected, took the wheels off to clean everything. The inner barrels on the Works needed a good cleaning.

Picked up this wheel cleaner, works really well. Sprays on yellow, then reacts with the brake dust, and turns red.

All cleaned up

Got some steering bump stops made up, and a little bit of the LCA ground, hammered, and welded. Should eliminate my rubbing issues, and help my rack out when I'm at full lock. Nothing fancy here but hopefully this eliminates my binding issues. Was going to have the LCA's notched, but I feel I have enough angle for what I'm doing, so this should suffice.

Such a sick build thread. Love how you keep it clean and still drift it, and now its going to possibly have some kind of frankenstein Lexus motor swap.

First event of the year, Clubloose North at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Spent the morning learning how to drive again, but I eventually found a groove that worked.

Some action shots

So happy the car ran well. 3 hour drive to the event, 7 hours of track time, and another 3 hrs back. The car made it without issue, so that was a relief. Time to prep for the next one.

I think you're the first to bring it up, and I may pick one up sooner than later.

Had a weird vibration driving the car, 30mph, 60mph, and 75mph. Got the wheels rebalanced, Road Force balanced, and that took care of that issue. I need to order a front passenger side hub / bearing, have a feeling the factory one is on its way out.

Took a car break
