Hopefully those wheels you ordered are wide enough for the flares

That is a wonderful idea.

I have those wheels on hold. They told me the lip would only be 62mm which is about 40mm less than I was hoping for.

Hmmm... If my car was black, I think this would be done. I saw a guy on IG with it in white, and it didn't have the same effect that the Jetstream demo car had. Trying to find a pic of it...

So SBC TC105N's are happening. Can't believe I didn't know these existed. Should be here by next week

Other than that not much new. Installed a silicone intake tube to get rid of the OEM accordion tube. Noticed a HUGE increase in HP. Easily +60 HP. Throttle response is smoother too.

Also put on my MXP Titanium tear drop shift knob. Hands are nice and cold in the morning with 3rd degree burns by noon

I know which one you're talking about....think the lack of a front lip, awkward rocket bunny BRZ sides and a general slapped on look killed my interest but after a buddy did a photoshop rendering of the jetstream car which has an agressive lip and matching sides in white with my custom ideas added in i fell back in love

Tc105n's will look sick...never seen them in sbc style finish.

Wheels came in. So much better in person.

Now to decide if I'm going back to a 235/40 Yoko. S Drive or ball out and go 245/35 Toyo R1R

Just showing RPF1's for reference

I thought so too but 245/40 is the typical 17 size 245/35 is usually for 18s

They're 17's. The Toyo R1R comes in 245/35/17. The overall diameter of the tire is perfect for the ride height I want to be at. But 100TW tires for daily commuting... not so sure I'm about that life.

Couple things came in the mail

Shorty antenna

Also got some carbon fiber eyelids. The headlights looked like someone dragged them across a dirt road before installing them. These eyelids cover it up perfectly

I thought R1R's are 200tw and R888's are 100tw? Pretty sure....

P.S.-CF headlight eyelids look sweet, Ly!

Compound curves suck, and that film is much thicker than vinyl. It's surely not fun!

Have you thought of using NightShades (sp?) paint? Even an Asian can shoot paint.

Second on the eyelids looking good.

Thanks! I was iffy on getting CF or or just fiberglass and painting to match. I'm glad I went with the CF since I don't think I could ever get a perfect paint match which would most likely result in me selling the car lol.

Just checked R1R's treadware... hmm, some sites say 140TW and but most say 200TW. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. The more I look at them, the more I don't like the tread pattern :/

It is pretty thick but once heated up it becomes soft enough to get around the curves. Couple more tries and I should have something decent

We have a few cans of that stuff here at the shop, but I want something that's easily reversible.

SBC TC105N's =

The eyelids are a nice touch. I've thought about doing them but they would become very expensive:

1) Buy carbon fiber and then I'd have to buy other cf bits to match, maybe a hood, trunk, spoiler or some combination.

2) Buy fiberglass and have paint matched to car. Cheap enough but my bumper and hood have rock chips. So my logic would be to have them fixed/painted along with the eyelids. Well now, the freshly painted bumper and hood needs some 3M or equivalent protection to prevent future chips.

Nothing new or fun. Still haven't mounted the Weds. I did run over a shark tooth which resulted in me plugging an otherwise new tire :'( I guess it's fitting. Team Boat!!

Side note: 13 years of Miata ownership and Gary from Miata.net bans me. Greedy ass old man doesn't realize I'm on the forums to shoot the shit with fellow Miata owners, post naked pictures of my gf, and when asked help guys out with info or parts they can't get anywhere else. Oh well, CR is where the cool kids hangout anyways. Dear Gary, I hope you choke on that penny you ran across the street to pick up
