Default My fastback ls1 Miata

hey guys ive been around here for a little. and drove a 92 Na miata. well i still have the na but plan on parting it out. i just came across a decent deal on a amazing NB so here are some photos let me know what you guys think.

its my first nb and i love it. car has 75,016 miles on it as of me parking it tonight. has all the bells and whistles. new tires. jrsc m45 kit with cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust which sounds awesome its leaning a little to the ricey side but good sound that i will most likely keep.
well i will shut it and let you guys see my new miata.

here it is a St. louis airport this morning picking up a family member and having ice all over it. need to give it a good detail

plans are to clean the engine bay up some. hide some wires maybe add a couple more things to the supercharger to get a little more out of it and then suspension and tires.

maybe after that a few small things to the exterior to make it different then other 01 miatas running around. just small clean things. but will take a while.

Might I suggest Tires and Suspension before adding any amount of HP to the car. Learning to drive a low HP 10/10ths and then going to HP will net a much more improved driver and net greater gains in the long run.
You will also enjoy much more out of the car from the get go with less money involved to start.

special edition w00t.

by the way, THIS is the car that made me want a Miata. Not the EXACT one (well it's possible I guess), but the same model/color/year/edition.

*thumbs up*

Ok guys i havent updated this in a while. But here i go. Since the original post i have.

Installed BC coilovers.
Removed jackson racing m45 kit.
Bought konig feathers and nitto neo gens.
blox racing shift knob.
Sin-tek Fender stripes.
Removed magnaflow exhaust in favor of mazdaspeed

I love the bc coil overs. They really tightened the car up. I do not track my car currently just drive on the aggressive side. had the Coils set at 20 out of 36 and it was stiff and handled amazing. I have since removed the rear sway and Got an allignment favored less towards aggresive driving. And it is great.

i have the car at 11.5 front 12. rear. Going to lower a little more soon. And the coils are set on the softer side and i love how the car feels. The BC's were the exact coil i was looking for they allow me to be at the ride height i want and ride decently smooth and they made the car feel great.

The Konigs i got on the cheap but i am very happy with how they look on the car.

Removing the supercharger really made the car feel slugish. The car is still really fun to drive. But it is taken out for a turbo hopefully in the near future. And then after i get settle in to either a house or What not i already have plans for the Ls1 swap on this car. I have a lsx. based motor already for mock up. but i plan to do this swap when i am in a better position. Right now i am currently rebuilding my gsxr also so i have to keep some money.

But anyways here are some of the pictures you guys let me know what you think.

I fell in love with the identical car for sale locally. Then I called the dealer after it being for sale for months to see wassup and he told me it had been in a collision and repaired. Heartbreak.

sorry to hear that man.

And thanks for the compliments. I want to run some spacers so they are not so sunk in. I would love to be slammed and 0 offset but it is not practical nor what i need to do to my car right now. So feathers and decent fitment will have to sufice.

xclr8tn Your car looks amazing with the candy purple. Should photoshop my wheels that color. For lulz.

Ill post some pictures of the gsxr. it is an older model 95 to be exact i got it with 10k miles on it. went through it. tires/brakes/chain. etc blan blah blah.
Then got an offer that i could not refuse and sold it.
The guy i sold it to wrecked it coming out of first gear into dirt. SO I bought it back really cheap and have since torn into it. I work at a body shop so its getting painted plans headlight faring is ordered but i have to cut in my headlight so custom projector headlight.

paint the fairings (black cherry or Close to brg green with metallic in it)

Custom headlight.

2001 tail fairings.

Maybe stretch and lower a little.

I know that it ruins the handling but these generation of gsxrs just look better with a little stretch and lowered. I have the carbs off and rebuilding them. The new fairings ordered and integrated tail. new mirrors, and a whole bunch of other shit sitting in the garage. Its getting the wiring tucked and will look mostly stock just clean when i am done with it.

I have a older picture of its horrible factory paint/graphics and a current in my garage picture. And hopefully in about a month a finished picture.

old picture not in bad shape for a 1995

picture as it sits waiting on fairings in paint. Im not a fan of street fighters so it will look stock mostly with some cleaner things to it when i am done.

update i got the headlight fairing in and here is what it is looking like. The bike ultimatly will be painted a dark green and i will go with black powder coated fram and wheels.

Trying to decide if i should lower the bike of just lower the front fairings like they are in the picture and just keep it like that.

so thanks to jess i may be having two things with Brg paint on them soon. Here is a picture jess photoshopped for me.

Still deciding where i need to intersect the black and the green. Or white and green.and if i need to go with white or black frame. And if i need to go as far as getting the forks and subframe and going all out with it.

I may just touch the surface until i get my own garage and can tear into the bike.

But i think i am going to have the whole bike painted brg and add the white or black with vynle. and the suzuki and gsxr also.

And jess if you see this could you p shop the frame white or black ? thanks.

I removed the supercharger over a year ago. after the removal the car felt sluggish because I missed the low end from it.

over all I loved the supercharger when it didn't give me idle drop and cels all the time.

Would of loved to keep it but it was non intercooled and running a power card. So instead of sinking money into it I bought suspsion. I am very happy with that.

I do owe this thread some updates. The car is currently getting the front end torn off im having the front bumper cleaned and painted and then the mazdaspeed lip matched. Going to keep the carbon fenders and going to get the k7s fitted and try to be a lame midwest urban wanna be.

Default Re: My BRG

alright i guess i can start my much needed update.

alright well i traded my konig feathers for some n1 concepts rims. That weight in at 9.6 lbs each and they didnt look too bad on the car.

well then some stupid stuck up bitch in front of my in a merge lane switched lanes to merge and smashed her brakes for no reason. So i ended up sliding my fender off her car and also paying for the whole fucking thing. I am over it now though.

so the car got carbon fenders from pacman. Which are awesome and fit really good for an aftermarket body part.

then i ordered brembo front rotors. And axxis front pads.

THAT DIDNT FIT so i had to send them back. i just really loved how they looked.so i posted the picture.

I got tired of polishing the rims so i plasti dipped them and painted them bronze.

well then the car decided to start throwing Check engine lights like a xmas tree for about a week. Well being that it threw all of the ones to deal with the cat and o2 sensors. I bought a new header magnaflow cat. O2 sensors and cat back Spec racing exhaust.

i am planning to rework the exhaust to be a twin tip center exit. If it permits, if not it will get my pacesetter tips on my dual magnaflow.
here are the tips i bought they are resonated tips. Hoping they get rid of some of the drone and rasp from the exhaust. Because the car runs so good now with all new exhaust.

Then The exhaust started to melt the rear bumper so i cut the rear bumper i still need to clean it up some But here is a rough idea.

And the sexy mr sexy lip that is going to get matched soon.

And i will throw a few pictures up from the rota k7 and the toyo proxies 4 that i bought to see how it fit. I still need to order the other three but i got the house now and shopping for an engagment ring so they may get put on the back burner for a month or two. But i honestly cannot wait to get them all fitted and lower the car a smidge. maybe 20mm spacers until i wear out the toyos then im buying 245s like they deserve.

So the plan for the car is to get the front end matched and the wheels fitted then a rollbar and i most likely will be done with it until i get all the parts together to ls1 swap it. i Plan to bake the headlights apart this weekend too and paint them black to go with the mazdaspeed front end.

Random pictures of the car.

The blox really helps shifting with the 6speed But i love the wood one too. I need to buy the miata roadster short throw.

i apologize or i would hook you up.
