Any results on the bubbling?

Also, lemme know what you end up doing with those MSM wheels. The MSM i'm looking at now is on aftermarket wheels and i rather the stockers you're currently rolling on

I think its been solved. I replaced the radiator cap a few days ago, as it didn't seem to be holding pressure. And, the bubbling hasn't happened since.

I want to sell them, but I can't leave my car sitting on jack stands for a week while I look for new rims and tires. So, I'm reduced to having to wait until I save some cash to buy a stock set of daisies with some decent tires before I can put them on the market. The lunch lady salary just doesn't cut it.

Oh, and I'd also like to add how shocked I was this past Thursday when I noticed a misfire and checked the spark plugs. Since the cat was so badly clogged, exhaust had been pushed back into back into the manifold...resulting in my spark plugs opening from the heat, hence the misfire. When the spark plugs had been installed, they had been gapped to .44inches...and when I took them out on Thursday, they had opened to .61inches.

So I just went ahead and upgraded to single platinums.

Hopefully you replaced the cat as well. I usually gap the plugs at 0.041 inches and assume they will grow over time.

Currently playing with ideas on little mods for my interior. You know, stuff that I CAN afford. Haha, the other stuff will have to wait until I hit the lotto... or, just get a better job.

Ah yes, I'm itching to get a release on Mia so I can use her as a parts car, but also as a guinea pig for my experiments. At least, I hope they let me keep her...seeing as I already have her gauge cluser ripped out and opened up...

I had several problems when I bought the car. First, the most obvious was the spark plugs. The spark plugs were bad to begin with, and also they were not gapped. We did a tune up and replaced the spark plugs and wires, and the hiccup vanished. If you're having this problem and you haven't had a tune up in a while, that's most likely your problem. And when you get the spark plugs, gap them to .43inches.

The second major problem we found was the the catalytic converter was clogged. The car felt like it was crawling, the restriction was awful..no matter how hard I tried to accelerate, it wouldn't move like it should until I got to a high RPM. Also, after a long drive and letting the car sit for 15 minutes, the car would die when I started it again. The car was literally choking on its fumes. So we upgraded to a magnaflow high flow cat.

I still have a slight problem with acceleration, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Ok thank you man. My car was hiccuping when i bought it but the plugs and wires were shot so i replaced them an it runs alot better. But sometimes i feel like it hesitates a little from about 1k-3k rpms. I would if i have a cloggged cat. hmmmmm

Mine does hesitate as well in the same RPM range. This is what I'm trying to figure out right now. I'm going to have the timing belt done as soon as I save up some money, I have a feeling that the belt is off by a tooth.

I've come into a bit of money, thanks to buyers of my part out...and I'm just ITCHING to do something to my car. But, I'm so indecisive on what to do. I don't wanna blow all the green on just one item...

Things I desperately want:
-Downgrade to some nice 15'' wheels (but, I won't have extra for tires so I need to find someone selling rims+tires)
-Trunk lip
-Front lip
-Paint job

Hmmm...

Pick up some stockers off craigslist to roll around on so you can sell the MSM wheels

Trust me, I'm looking

I came across some 15" Enkei RPF1's with good Dunlop tires and I'm asking how much he wants for them. Buuut I don't know if I want black rims.

Mmmm... testing my new gauge setup in Mia's old cluster. I'm going to have to play with this a bit before I put it in the white NA. My needles won't light up if I keep the wiring how I have it now...sooo, when spring break comes, I get time to finish this.

EDIT: Fyi, the cluster is out of the car and the gauge faces are hooked up to a 9v battery.

Ya, see, I was under the impression that they were just the faces. Pop the old ones out, put the new ones in. I found out when they arrived that they weren't... but it's cool, next time I read the fine print details haha. Originally, I was planning on putting bright white LEDS in the back, but now there's really no point...I don't like the whole glow thing either, but I can't really return them.

I've forgotten to mention something that I noticed the other day. After starting the car in the morning, about a week ago, I saw the idle acting weird. It would jump and fall randomly.. Then after I drove about a mile, while stopped at a red light, the idle went to 0 and stayed there. I'd rev and it would go up, then return to 0. However, the car doesn't bog or anything...it idles perfectly fine. When I continued driving, it ceased to happen again. Gauge reading wrong? Maybe a short? Loose wire perhaps? Only time will tell I suppose.

Any other suggestions on the possible culprit would be highly appreciated.

Might just be a loose connection as you say, after all, you've had the dash out recently right? Probably just something simple to fix, but a pain to find
