Thanks, after I cut it to fit I scrubbed it down with a greenie and mineral spirits. Then prime, paint, and matte clearcoat.

So there was a request for me to illustrate how I did my manual popups. This is how I did it, and it is not 100% done yet as I have yet to make the up position on the arms yet. Also there is some slight play in the cover so the lighting may be a tad shaky/bouncy. For me that's more or less a non-issue because she almost never is out at night. Onto the pics!
There was a lot of measuring to make sure I would have easy access and there would be no interference. Once we decided on where to put the hole we drilled out the arm and welded a 1" steel tube in the same size at the ball lock pin (which came from West Marine). ![]() The arm will have a second hole/tube installed for the up position. Then we used some right angle stuff to make the rear support for the ball lock pin stabilization. ![]() This is how the ball lock sits on the side of the headlight framing: ![]() And it in the car:

Dave came over and sorted a tune for me, now I can plow forwards and put her the rest of the way together. ~35 miles on the engine and all is well, once I get the appropriate paperwork (misplaced the registration and insurance cards) I will be able to get some more miles on her and change the oil to non-break in oil. Also have a sweet oil leak from the back of the valve cover...enough comes out to get to the ground and make drips
Don't mind the pussyfooting, this is more-so a demo of how smooth the transition from vac to boost is and I don't like making my neighbors angry. |

Holy shit it has been a long time since I have been productive with this thing. I test fitted the new wheels today, got rid of my really long hot side tube, and figured out where I am going to be pulling air from that isn't heated by the radiator. Now I need to figure out why I am getting errors when I hook up to MS with mia laptop
