The K7s looked great, but for some reason that color, on those wheels, clashes with your car's color scheme. A polished lip would help tie the wheels to other polished bits on the car.
Just one man's honest opinion. |

God DAMN that looks beautiful!!! I'm blown away.
I guess I also vote on polishing the lip. You'd not have to worry about more flaking powdercoat. That alone would be worth it. And it would look quite nice with the wheel bolts. As for the rubbing, my guess is the rear inner fender bolts are the culprits. Remove those and bend the tabs inward a lot. Then reinstall the bolts if possible. Should have no more rubbing. |

great new pics! after seeing the car whole, i too would vote for a polished lip. also, if you're going to redo the wheels anyway, i would opt for a darker shade of bronze.
the polished lip would go great with your future polished roll bar andy maybe future polished nielex tow hooks? |

I say leave them bronze and change your side stripes to a bronze color. Just another man's honest opinion

Entire wheel polished/alloy in color. I don't see how the bronze and burgundy interior can be tied together.
That said they look fantastic ignoring the interior and rocker stripes! Love the beefy 60 series sidewalls too. Seem more pronounced vs running them on a rpf1. |

Not a fan of the bronze color, personally I think they would be better silver but that's just my opinion . I think we all know you ultimately have the idea in your head of how you want the car to look and will accomplish it

The new wheels looks great. I think if they are getting redone, go with a darker bronze and if you could bronze the rivets it would look better than a polished lip IMO. Also, if you have red lugs it might tie it together into the side stripes a bit better. It'll probably turn out amazing whatever path you choose to go.

Thanks for all the comments, folks. I am super happy with how these look. I've made several trips to the garage today just to take a peek. In persion, they look incredible.
I'm 99% sure I'm going to get the lips polished. Like I said, I feel like the fact that the wheels refuse to take a coating on the lips is their way of telling me that they want to be kept as they were designed. As for the comments about the bronze clashing with the rest of the car's color scheme...I couldn't disagree more. To me, bronze is as neutral a wheel color as gunmetal. It goes with almost anything. I've told others that I really tend to not dig the polished lip look but the more I picture it in my head the more I think I'll love it on these. I guess I'll find out in a couple weeks. |
