Got in a couple cool pieces today from a former 10AE buddy Broketuner!

Energy Suspension Polyurethane suspension bushings and the Hondata intake manifold gasket:

Really looking forward to seeing and feeling the difference that these two parts make whenever I start the assembly of all the doep parts I've been massing lately

The suspension bushings are the ones sold by 949 Racing, and are 88 durometer, much higher than the stock bushings, so the ride should change quite a bit once I get the old stock bushings out that have over 150,000 miles on them

The Hondata intake manifold gasket is designed the reduce the amount of heat that is transferred between the head and the intake manifold, reducing the air intake temps by as much as 40 degrees, which will greatly help once the turbo stuff is installed!

One of the most important things I've learned recently though my car has been not to stress out about it and not to rush things! Hell, it wasn't until 3 days before I went off to my first day of college that I even found my 10AE! I just tried to stay patient and not rush into something that wasn't 100% what I really wanted. You'll find a good NB sooner or later!
Thanks for the advice. I'm defiantly not going to rush into buying a car. I need to find one that has no rust. I'll just continue driving my civic and saving for a miata. Thanks a lot.

Sorry for the mini thread-jack.

The half cage is going in on Wednesday

I painted it Nighthawk Black Pearl (ftw) yesterday, did a test fit today, and all is looking good for the install!

Can't wait!

You will enjoy those bushings and I think find that the ride actually improves in some aspects but most certainly the car is much crisper to drive. Well worth the time investment to install.

Also would love to hear your thoughts on that Hondata piece.

Yeah, really looking forward to both of those pieces, especially the bushings. Last time I was wrenching under the car, there were pieces of rubber sticking out from the control arms

Definitely time for them to go!

Yes and yes! The bushings and the zerks will go in when the car is sittin pretty on jackstands for the turbo install. Gonna try to knock out a whole bunch of stuff at once, rather than spreading it all out over a few months as I'm still DD'ing the 10AE.

With Shadow's permission, here are a few shots of tonights events...

You'll take note of the lack of bolt holes.

A very handsome Brazilian man has all the proper equipment to fire up the welder. This wiring...

No real pics yet, but this is the diffuser that I purchased! Got it used for a pretty reasonable price

It came off of an Exige S, and it doesnt have the exhaust hole cut out in the middle of it, so it should work perfectly for the exhaust I'm planning to do!

I'll probably pick up another 99 rear bumper to cut up so that I don't ruin the bumper that's on the 10AE now; still original paint, and it looks too good to chop up!

I'll have more pics when it gets delivered!

And here's some pics of the car it came off of:
