I for one, am glad you painted the TSIs. They're hideous! In black they look a lot more agressive than before, and it actually looks like a functional TSI with bulb holder, and not just a chrome addition!

I hate chrome too, I wanna paint my door handles and hardtop latches in back matte black BUT I am nervous a rattle can job wont last long on the handles. Powder coating is an option but to lazy at the moment to worry about it.

That's funny because the HT latches and the door handles don't bother me at all... I guess it's because it's stock, and we're used to look at them the way they are.
But the TSIs don't look any good in chrome! |

I like that it brings attention to the bulb which IMO looks badass

I painted my ht latches black just yesterday. I'll see how long that lasts. Door handles are the only thing still chrome on my car and that will change soon haha

No, that just opens the little box to change out the bushing that sits on the Frankenstein bolt. There's two nuts on the underside of the top that hold it on. I loosened those and it still didn't come off. There must be something else holding it on. I just painted them on the top

I remembered asking about yours at MATG, my buddys dad owns some company that builds heads for v8s, trick flow or something like that and he has access to powdercoat stuff and he does it at cost for me so I plan on having him do them if I ever decide I want to make mine black
I hope your going to MATG this year! |

Really? I searched tire threads and everyone said kumho xs's are best 205/50/15 for under $100 per tire for DD tires AND occasional track tires thatll last me atleast 1 year. I drive tons of miles a year and also drive like an asshole on back twisty roads very often.

Your right, I am dumb my bad. I did however research ACTUAL rs-r's this time for a few minutes and reviews look great.
But I feel like the kumho XS would last alot longer than these, I went through a set of toyo proxy 4s in 8 months (they wernt new when I got them since I bought the car with them on but they were VERY close to new) |

After my toyo proxy 4s I will be testing out many tires, this is my first handling car and so far I had toyo proxy 4s on it only because they came with the car, so from now on I will be going from tire to tire and finding what I like best, and hopefully by next year I will have track wheels and DD wheels so I can get some falken 512s for $60 a pop and buy some good rubber for my track wheels and not worry about how long they last.
