Nitto neogen? I have them and I have no complaints. They're cheap and I saw a ton of good reviews on them back when I was buying tires.

My budget is not a dollar over $100 I was very happy with my toyo proxy 4s I just hated how long they took to warm up, its the only tire I know so almost any tire on the market will impress me greatly so I am sticking to a $100 or less per tire budget. Star specs are $20 per tire over my budget so they are for sure not happening this tire purchase.

I understand this might not make sense to you why my budget is only $100 but to me its the limit I set and I have reasons for it so I just gotta go with it

Just wait to find a barely used set or a good deal. Get nice tires instead of another set of no-seasons.

Kumho XS arnt no-seasons

And from what I read I think I will be 150% happy with them, and they fit the budget.

I am almost set on the xs unless someone tells me theirs a cheaper option that is very close or on par with them, then I might look into it. From what I have read the XS are exactly what I am looking for in all aspects besides the not being so good in rain. And from what I have read I will just have to be very careful in the rain with them but its doable ha.

I do however appreciate the feedback from people who have actually used many tires and drive their cars and not just suggest tires that "stretch better" for hella jdm tight fitment yo. Cuz when I hear all my friends with slammed cars with like 195s on a 9 inch wheel with 6 degrees of camber talk about "get this tire handles awesome perfect for you!" I just laugh.


T1R are $160 a pop! Damn haha same price over their? Thats a huge difference haha.

Well, the T1R go for about 60 Euro over here (that should be about 90 USD) which is the same as the Kumho, that is, if the Kumho isn't even more expensive!

My favourite tyre so far though was the Continental ContiSportContact, but I'm not sure you can get them over there (since they're made in france).

I think once I get the kumho xs's (if I decide on those) I will hunt craigslist for some used sets of other tires with more than 50% tread on them so I can test out some different tires, I am not sure how often a tire worth testing comes up on craigslist in my area in my size....but if I can find some stuff like star specs, t1r's, neogens, then it cant hurt to just pick em up to try out for a month or two to see how I like em.

You should guinea pig the Federal 595 rs-r. It's stupid cheap. I want to put a set on Lazarus and finally give the Miata community a decent review on the tire. Everything I've read is for larger s2k, evo, wrx sizing.

I dont mind trying them out, but I would like to run a 205 50 15 on my wheels and the only 205 I can find is on ebay for $109.

I would like to stick to tirerack since they have that damage thingy for $40 extra.

I dont think I would be the best person to test a tire too, seeing how I only have experience with toyo proxy 4s and I am really unsure how many track days I am going to be doing this year, could be anywhere from 2 to 10, possibly more.

Old set is in florida, just traded my wheels for i<3flippyheadlights wheels and he actually just picked them up a hour ago from greyhound.

I live in PA and its snowing really bad so the new wheels will be on as soon as the snow goes which should be around march :[ I just sanded down one and prep'd it for paint. I will do another today and in a week I will make a trip to Ohio for the paint so I can paint them

On another note I am getting my hella e-codes today and bulbs, they were on backorder but today is the day!

I know people are going to be like THATS UGLY AS FUCK......but having a cookie cutter car is a safe bet, I LOVE the color teal/ aqua blue and I cant help the fact my cars red (I could change it but its a $2200 paintjob from previous owner that is perfect so I wont). It may be different but different will either stand out and be awesome or fail miserably...and I am going to take the risk and if I dont like subaru wrx sti gold will prob be next color which wont be as fun
