Hey guys, I got me a JZX100. Im yet to see it in person yet, but i fly over to Japan in 14 days to drift in the G1GP (Gaijin GP) and the Matsuri, so needed a drift car for a few days, figured.. meh, just buy one and keep it in Japan.
So after months and months of going through auctions, i decided to settle on this one! ![]() Its a 98, Spec are as follows. - Kaaz 2 way - Cusco coilovers (i think) - FMIC - Full system exhaust - Sparco front wheels? - Work rear wheels? - Recaro seat - HID Headlights - LED red/clear tails - A/M Front lip Looking forward to drifting this ![]() ![]() Thinking on going to UP Garage before hand and getting a few new toys to bring to Ebisu and get them swapped over. |

ITS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Landed in the UK last Monday, got it transported up from the docks yesterday, then got my Mrs to drive me 3 hours south so i could drive it up! What A drive it was. No number plates, or no registration .. shame it still has the Japanese limiter fitted though :/ As I found out several times
Anyway. ![]() ![]() As you can see, Iam currently sporting the 'Monster truck' status! There are cusco coilovers fitted already but only got home at like 3 am so had no time to lower it yet. I have however already bought some new HSD coilovers (Same ones I used on my s15 and MX5) The driftworks ones. ![]() ![]() So I also figured, those wheels wont fucking do! SO I bought these puppies.. ![]() ![]() Fabulous Profounds. 18x9 / 18x10 ET22. So these 'should' fit the rear archs rather nicely with a slight roll/flare, So there is NO space in the rear archs of a chaser.. its a joke! Im away on holiday this Monday to Amsterdam for a week of blitz so when im back I'll get it sorted out This thing already has a 2 way diff fitted, I have some JZX110 Arms in my room, a new grill and also some subframe locking collars to help this drift .. although, the route to my house involves going over some pretty mental mountain passes.. To which I got to find out that this still drifts.. VERY well! Just so much power to use makes it so relaxing! Pretty damm happy though, Just gotta get an alarm sorted and send the paperwork away to register it and we're all golden! S T O K E D !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() My mrs owns the yellow s15 |

Oh yeh. The front coilovers wont go lower.. just aswell I ordered up HSD's for it!
![]() Then I got my girlfriend to polish the car as It hadnt been washed since August 2011. Even then, I only gave it a quick hose down at Ebisu to get the tyre marks off it.. so you can imagine, it took AGES to get the 'pearl' shine back.. even still it needs alot more work to get the shine back.. ![]() Tried to move it out my drive way but it scraped the shit out of the pavement. When the wheels/coils turn up im going to have to rip out all the plastic arch liners and find out what I can hit with a hammer to go lower. ![]() Still waiting on DVLA paperwork before I can actually drive it ¬__¬ pain in the ass. Getting a clifford prox alarm fitted this week too to annoy some more people. |

In relation to the car. I think every single step has been nothing but problems. Im STILL waiting for paperwork coming through!
Basically.. Before the DVLA will issue me a V5 (Number plate) I need to wait for Customs to send me the proof that its been paid for.. which they did not do, because Andy put down 'Mint' on the shipping documents, and not my real name. After only finding out last week I quickly corrected them.. however nothing today. I phoned up my agent (NSA) again and got through to customs (AGAIN!) this morning to find out wtf is going on.. and he said it will get sent out today first class.. so when that turns up, I can get it to the DVLA, who have been taking 2-3 days to process this and then I need to send it to Sky insurance before 5pm this friday.. or, they cancel my insurance. Amazing. I got my Alarm fitted last friday and went for an all singing all dancing clifford cat1 with prox sensors.. The dude Gav at Evolution was spot on, he even found my boost controller which was hidden under trim panels in the dash. ![]() Also fitted my white/blue wheel from the mx. SO, the wheels.. 2 turned up, then the other 2 turned up. I decided to go get tyres for them, went to one place in Aberdeen who told me they had stock.. they didnt.. They put 2 on then told me they could not inflate them as they didnt have anything for the valves.. So drove to another place to get 2 more tyres. I was charged for new valves, nitro inflation and balancing etc.. (Which they did not do) So I told this second company who said they would not charge me for this.. however, they snapped 2 of my valves O___O then told me they had no other valves that would fit.. !!!O_____O!!!!!!!!!*** I phoned them up yesterday and was told to come in today as they found valves which will fit.. So I went in this morning and they didnt fit.. fucking great! Just seems like everything is going wrong. Got me a delimiter / speedo convertor and have no clue on how the hell to do it. Changed the bulbs for the rear number plate, the housing for the bulbs was shattered so they dont fit any more. The front grill I got doesnt fit, The arms I got the bushings are too done to fit, and to top this all off If I dont get the form from H&M customs to send to the dvla, to get back to then send on to Sky.. I wont have insurance. Almost; given up. BUT.. here's some pictures of test fitting the rear 10" wheels. 18x10 ET23 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I just want to drive the fucking car. Sorry.. Iv been building up a serious amount of anger between the car, insurance (crash stuff), police stuff, family stuff for too long and I think Im at breaking point now.. |

I have been considering fitting some kind of under door led's for when the door is open but that would be as far as I go Although its steering down the 'vip' idea.. this car, will be very much functional! Infact.. 21 days until Im competing in Round 3 of the Northern Drift Championship with it.. so best get my finger out! Thanks for the replies. |

![]() YUP. Its on the road. Feels amazing to drive this again! Been running around like a mad man trying to get it all sorted etc. Friday I took the day off work to play with the car and basically have a day of driving it lol. I changed out the front coilovers from the KTS ones to the new HSD's (Got decent photo's somewhere) and to my surprise, it actually raised the car! Not that I was that worried as it wasnt at all usable at that height (Not at the moment anyway) I decided to leave the rears and see how it felt.. conclusion was with 5 people in it.. the exhaust just drags along the ground. So going to need to raise that up. I then decided to fit the HSD's to the rear on Saturday and then went back out with 5 people. It was alot firmer on the back and had very little issue to be honest. I cant get over just how easy it is to change suspension on a JZX.. it took almost 10 minutes to change them out.. was nice! THEN in the height of it, a few of us went for chinese.. and on route home my best mate (Mr D) fell off his board and ended up in a seizure with shed loads of blood coming out his ear.. was scary shit. Few ambulances showed and the cops and they got him to A&E.. Fractured skull, bleeding frontal lobe and various other parts bleeding in the brain.. :/ So went in to see him last night and he should be ok but seriously scared the crap outa us. Here's some pics anyway. I'll need to do a propar post up when i get time. ![]() Bus.. Meet bus. ![]() ![]() Might get my wheels back today. That would be cool but not too worried tbh. Funny how one moment the car is number 1 priority.. then bang.. who cares. |
