I did some test fitting seeing how I wasn't motivated enough to get the molds made (and I haven't found the oven that I want to use for it). Not sure which I enjoy the best so I'll troll for some opinions
The ones with no lens is to get an idea what the lights will look like when I am done making the new lenses. 1 ![]() 2 ![]() 3 ![]() 4 ![]() So which do you like an why? |

If you were to do clear lenses for the fogs I say 1. It could be a great facelift for the car. Otherwise, 2.

Thanks for the input guys, I didn't think about retrofitting clear lenses into the projectors for the fogs but now I am thinking really hard about it. I am going to have to do an exploritory tear down to see if I can replace the projector lens with as clear one (rather than the oem frosted one). I think they are 2.5" lenses so finding clear ones should be pretty easy.

I think I am going to mimic the foggies with a clean area in front of the projector lens and fluted on the outsides...not sure how I am going to pull it off but if I can pull it off I think it will flow nicely. Last night I pulled the fogs apart to clean up the lenses and blacked out the beam cutoff, now the fog projectors are very close in appearance to the headlight projectors with no loss in light output with a bonus of it is only paint so it is easy to go back to the way they were.

Got the led brake lights in and they aren't as powerful as I was hoping. I am going to see how they look without the sun shining directly on them but as of present I'm not so happy with em. Also got the H1 bulbs and ballasts in so I am ready to put the new lights in
Drivers side is the led, passenger side is the regular bulb.

Projectors are in, still finishing up the lenses but lighting is still great with the fluting. I'll have more pics tomorrow of the beam cutoff and range when they are more dialed in.

Here is one shot of the finished product, still working on getting them dialed in and taking the night shots. Should have them tomorrow

Still not done with the lighting as I have to make the lenses but here is how the lighting output is as of present (going through fluted lenses):

The projectors turned out pretty good! I still envy you for having this as your daily driver. I miss my b15 despite its unreliability and trying to kill itself

Thanks man, almost done. Just about done with the lighting, and then I can extend my lower control arms and rebuild my K's, then she is finished.

I think what your doing is great. I had a few b13 se-rs and and nx2000 with an sr20ve. I would absolutely love to drive that thing everyday! I know it's a lot of work and this is you're daily, but. If you put in any type of NA sr20 (de/ve/ or even sr16ve!) it would be soooooooo perfect. This build is really inspiring.

Thanks mang, if I was to do anything power wise with her it would be a ve but alas, there is a new twinkle in my eye (and the ga is so damn good on petrol...I get 33+ mpg and that's not driving like a nancy). I've been on the hunt for something older seeing how this vision has nearly reached its summit. I am hoping to be 100% finished by the end of March.

Dropped her off to get a few dings and rust spots taken care of. Here is how she looked before I left her with the body guy:

Throw the BBS wheels back on there!
I love this car so much. I miss the one we used to have. GA16 will gain a few hp just by tinkering with the timing and what not. I feel that a SR20 thrown in there might net you more MPG then you'd expect if you're civil with the throttle. |

Got the spacers back on after I got the car back from paint and threw on the RZ's, then did a clutch cable in true value's parking lot, chased a bad ground that was keeping one of my headlights from firing, and got on some rear mud guards. Still working on the front coils...so far I've broken 5 teeth off the collars

I burned the new exhaust on, not as raspy as it was before with the added bonus of burning myself. I also don't drag it on the ground everywhere I go thanks to a patch of ice and sliding into a huge curb backwards.

Thanks for the kind words man, glad ya dig her.
I did a matte black wrap on the roof. I likie but am not sure if I want to get tints to seal the deal or keep the windows au naturale. Also painted the wiper arms black and got a new windshield installed ![]() ![]() So should I go tints or no tints? |

I'm torn, one day I am going to do tints and the next I'm leaving it. I think tomorrow I am going to do 35% all around though. I am also almost done polishing the wheels, should have them done tomorrow and then smore pics.
Thanks for the input cr! |
