I am doing a complete MSM swap (engine, wiring with ecu, trans, diff, etc) But Would it be simpler to go with a MSPNP for the 91 and tune it accordingly to the 1.8 Turbo?
Thanks for your inputs! |

Its a completly different harness. If you went MSPnP you would have to keep the stock 91 harness and adapt everything to the new motor, like has been done many times before. Otherwise you would have to custom build something, either DIYpnp or one of their normal units.

I have swaped engine miata 1.8 L working with the 1.6 harness...The best i think is to run the 1.8 engine with the original throtlle body and with a megasquirt ecu...Without these you will gain only a little more torque at low rpm nothing more...

Whatever you DO NOT use the MSM ECU, its junk if you want to run higher boost. It even sucks when you have a less restrictive intake. I have a 05 MSM and the ECU is the worst thing about the car.
